Objective: To estimate the longitudinal bidirectional association between parent-child conflict and child externalizing and internalizing symptoms from the preschool years through adolescence.
Method: A nationally representative longitudinal study recruited 11,134 children at birth and followed them from December 2010 through June 2022. Primary caregivers completed validated measures at each follow-up, yielding data on parent-child conflict and child symptoms at ages 3, 5, 7, 9, and 13 years.
Regulatory problems in infancy are associated with internalizing and externalizing symptom trajectories across childhood, however, it is unknown whether early screen media exposure exacerbates this association. We studied 10,170 individuals from the Growing Up in Ireland '08 cohort. Parents reported on their children's regulatory problems at 9 months, screen media exposure at 3 years, and internalizing and externalizing symptoms at 3, 5, 7, and 9 years.

Objective: To meta-analyze data from samples with children 18 years or younger to estimate the average prevalence of ACEs, identify characteristics and contexts associated with higher or lower ACE exposure, and explore methodological factors that might influence these prevalence estimates.
Design, Setting, And Participants: Studies that were published between January 1, 1998 and February 19, 2024, were sourced from MEDLINE, PsycINFO, CINHAL, and Embase.
Inova Schar Heart and Vascular has an unwavering commitment to delivering excellent cardiovascular care and has integrated principles of a learning health care system to develop our system of continuous process improvement and innovation. A learning health system integrates its internal experiences with external research to enhance patient outcomes, support the discovery of new treatments and care pathways, and deliver safer, more efficient, and more personalized care. Leveraging learning across health systems maximizes the impact, allowing cardiovascular teams to gain insights into the effectiveness of different treatment strategies.

Objective: To explore whether there are directional prospective associations between perceived parental technoference and emerging adolescents' mental health symptoms (anxiety, depression, inattention, and hyperactivity).
Background: This systematic literature review compares the clinical outcomes of heparin-bonded expanded polytetrafluoroethylene with autologous saphenous vein in the management of patients undergoing below-the-knee bypass to treat peripheral arterial disease.
Methods: An electronic literature search was conducted in MEDLINE and Embase to identify comparative studies in patients who underwent below-the-knee surgical bypass. Studies were screened at abstract and full text review using predefined inclusion criteria by two independent reviewers and critically appraised for risk of bias.

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) continues to increase in prevalence worldwide due to risk factors such as advanced age, diabetes mellitus, and obesity. Critical limb ischemia (CLTI) is the advanced form of PAD that can result in a lack of healing and limb loss as the most devastating consequence. Patients with PAD, especially CLTI, benefit from multidisciplinary care to optimize outcomes by reducing cardiovascular morbidity and mortality and preventing lower extremity amputation.

Background: During vascular interventions, connections that link arteries, veins, or synthetic grafts, which are known as an 'anastomosis', may be necessary. Vascular anastomoses can bleed from the needle holes that result from the creation of the anastomoses. Various surgical options are available for achieving hemostasis, or the stopping of bleeding, including the application of sealants directly onto the bleeding vessels or tissues.

Objective: To conduct a meta-analysis documenting healthcare service utilization rates for pediatric (age <19 years) eating disorders during compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Method: PsycINFO, MEDLINE, Embase, and Web of Science Core Collection were searched for studies published up to May 19, 2023. Studies with pediatric visits to primary care, inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department for eating disorders before and during the pandemic were included.
Background: Although 24-hour movement behaviors are known to be interconnected, limited knowledge exists about whether change in one behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic (eg, increased screen time) was associated with change in another (eg, reduced physical activity or sleep). This review estimates mediational associations between changes in children's physical activity, screen time, and sleep during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: We included studies published between January 1, 2020 and June 27, 2022, in the PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, PsycINFO, SPORTDiscus, and Web of Science databases.
Exposure to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), including maltreatment and family dysfunction, is a major contributor to the global burden of disease and disability. With a large body of international literature on ACEs having emerged over the past 25 years, it is timely to now synthetize the available evidence to estimate the global prevalence of ACEs and, through a series of moderator analyses, determine which populations are at higher risk. We searched studies published between January 1, 1998 and August 5, 2021 in Medline, PsycINFO and Embase.

Some studies have found that child and adolescent depression and anxiety symptoms have increased, while others have found these symptoms to have remained stable or decreased.
Objective: To synthesize the available longitudinal cohort-based research evidence to estimate the direction and magnitude of changes in depression and anxiety symptoms in children and adolescents assessed before and during the pandemic.
Importance: To limit the spread of COVID-19, numerous restrictions were imposed on youths, including school closures, isolation requirements, social distancing, and cancelation of extracurricular activities, which independently or collectively may have shifted screen time patterns.
Objective: To estimate changes in the duration, content, and context of screen time of children and adolescents by comparing estimates taken before the pandemic with those taken during the pandemic and to determine when and for whom screen time has increased the most.
Data Sources: Electronic databases were searched between January 1, 2020, and March 5, 2022, including MEDLINE, Embase, PsycINFO, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials.
Importance: Numerous physical distancing measures were implemented to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, which could have negatively affected child and adolescent physical activity levels.
Objectives: To conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of the literature that used validated measures to document changes in child and adolescent physical activity during the COVID-19 pandemic and to estimate whether changes in physical activity differed between participant-level, contextual, and methodological moderators.
Data Sources: PubMed, PsycInfo, SPORTDiscus, Web of Science, Scopus, CINAHL, and MEDLINE were searched (from January 1, 2020, to January 1, 2022).
Dietary intake plays a significant role in athletic performance and is influenced by several factors, including nutrition knowledge. Gaelic footballers are amateur athletes who conduct high-intensity, intermittent activity during training and competition, and have previously demonstrated insufficient dietary intake. This study aimed to examine nutrition knowledge in elite and non-elite Gaelic footballers.

Background: Patients with severe peripheral arterial disease with limited or nonexistent arterial runoff, the so-called "desert foot", challenge efforts at limb preservation. Deep vein arterialization (DVA) involves incorporating a venous target as an outflow to achieve revascularization in these complex patients. We report outcomes in an initial series of patients undergoing DVA as a component of surgical bypass.

Recent Findings: We discuss novel endovascular technological advancements such as intravascular lithotripsy, the Tack endovascular stent, the PQ Bypass DETOUR system, and the LimFlow System for deep venous arterialization (DVA) in the very high risk "no-option" CLTI population. We also discuss the increasing adoption of radial and pedal approaches for endovascular revascularization and the tibiopedal arterial minimally invasive (TAMI) technique.
