The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of various mechanical surface treatments on the surface roughness and microtensile bond strength (µTBS) of aged composite resin cores bonded to CAD/CAM restorations. Composite resin specimens (Filtek Z350 XT, 3M-ESPE/Solventum) were thermally aged and subsequently divided into four groups (n = 36) according to surface treatments: UI-cleaning with ultrasonic diamond tip; AO-sandblasting with 50 µm AlO; DB-cleaning with diamond burs; and CG-positive control group, without aging or surface treatment. Surface roughness was assessed using a profilometer and interferometer, with measurements taken on both sides of each specimen (n = 12).

Objectives: To evaluate the performance of a Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) in generating scientific abstracts in dentistry.

Methods: Ten scientific articles in dental radiology had their original abstracts collected, while another 10 articles had their methodology and results added to a ChatGPT prompt to generate an abstract. All abstracts were randomised and compiled into a single file for subsequent assessment.

The multidrug-resistant (MDR) lineage ST386 was predominant among 6C isolates. A subsequent study, in 2019, reported the continued prevalence of 6C as the main serotype.

Multidrug-resistant (MDR) has been increasingly isolated from pigs and people in close contact with them, especially livestock-associated methicillin-resistant (LA-MRSA). In this cross-sectional study, we investigated colonization in pigs and farm workers, their resistance profile, and genetic background to estimate interspecies transmission potential within farms from Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil, between 2014 and 2019. We collected nasal swabs from 230 pigs and 27 workers from 16 and 10 farms, respectively.

This study aimed to investigate the presence of Mycoplasma spp. and identify the species of mycoplasma isolates obtained from seabirds found on Brazilian coastal beaches. Tracheal and cloacal swab samples were collected from 50 seabirds rescued by three conservation and marine animal rehabilitation centers located in Brazil.
