This study reports the synthesis of novel neolignans-celecoxib hybrids and the evaluation of their biological activity. Analogs8-13(L13-L18) exhibited anti-inflammatory activity, inhibited glycoprotein expression (P-selectin) related to platelet activation, and were considered non- ulcerogenic in the animal model, even with the administration of 10 times higher than the dose used in reference therapy. In silico drug-likeness showed that the analogs are compliant with Lipinski's rule of five.

This study aimed to evaluate the endodontic instrumentation outcomes with asymmetrical files compared to reciprocating and hand files (HFs) in 3D-printed prototypes of upper primary incisors using micro-computed tomography (micro-CT). For this purpose, 50 prototypes were randomly divided (n = 10) according to the instrumentation technique as follows: HFs, a reciprocating file (WaveOne® Gold [WOG]), and three asymmetrical movement files: XP-Endo® Shaper (XPS), XP-Endo® Finisher (XPF), and XP Clean (XPC). Most efficient antifouling (AF) strategies rely on the conventional release of persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic biocides incorporated in marine coatings. The investigation of compounds capable of strongly and selectively interacting with DNA comprises a field of research in constant development. In this work, we demonstrate that a trinuclear coordination complex based on a dinuclear Fe(III)Zn(II) core designed for biomimicry of the hydrolytic enzyme kidney bean purple acid phosphatase, containing an additional pendant arm coordinating a Pd(II) ion, has the ability to interact with DNA and to promote its hydrolytic cleavage. These results were found through analysis of plasmid DNA interaction and cleavage by the trinuclear complex 1 and its derivatives 2 and 3, in addition to the analysis of alteration in the DNA structure in the presence of the complexes through circular dichroism and DNA footprinting techniques.
