Objective: to compare the quality of the Nursing process documentation in two versions of a clinical decision support system.
Method: a quantitative and quasi-experimental study of the before-and-after type. The instrument used to measure the quality of the records was the Brazilian version of the Quality of Diagnoses, Interventions and Outcomes, which has four domains and a maximum score of 58 points.
Objective: To evaluate the functional performance and the technical quality of the Electronic Documentation System of the Nursing Process of the Teaching Hospital of the University of São Paulo.
Method: exploratory-descriptive study. The Quality Model of regulatory standard 25010 and the Evaluation Process defined under regulatory standard 25040, both of the International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the functional performance and the technical quality of an electronic documentation system designed to document the data of the Nursing Process. The Model of Quality will be the one established by the ISO/IEC 25010. Such research will allow the spreading of the knowledge of an emerging area, thus adding a further initiative to the growing efforts made in the information technology area for health and nursing.

Electronic nursing documentation constitutes technical, scientific, legal, and ethical documents. The objective of this study was to develop an electronic nursing documentation system. The system was developed in four phases (conceptualization, detailing, prototype building, implementation), and the knowledge base was based on domains and classes according to the NANDA-I, NIC, and NOC unified framework.
