Metal-catalyzed hydrogen isotope exchange (HIE) has become a valuable method for incorporating deuterium and tritium into organic molecules, with applications in a wide range of scientific fields. This study explores the role of transition metal cooperativity in enhancing catalytic hydrogen/deuterium (H/D) exchange using early-late heterobimetallic polyhydride (ELHB) complexes. A series of four ELHB complexes, of general formula [M(CHBu)(H)M'Cp*], combining early transition metals (M = Hf, Ta) with late metals (M' = Ir, Os), were synthesized and evaluated for their catalytic activity in HIE of (hetero)arenes.

In this study, we assessed the association between maternal CTD or vasculitis and neonatal electrocardiographic (ECG) parameters.
Methods: Our study population was drawn from the Copenhagen Baby Heart Study (CBHS), a prospective, population-based cohort study open to all neonates born in the Copenhagen area.
To explore disease characteristics, renal involvement and induction treatment strategies over the last decades and evaluate relapse rates and renal outcomes in ANCA-associated vasculitides (AAV). We retrospectively analyzed remission, relapse rates and the occurrence of the composite endpoint (comprising death and renal failure) in newly diagnosed AAV cases in four tertial referral centers in Germany and Switzerland diagnosed between 1999 and 2022. Hazard ratios were computed by Cox proportional hazard and Kaplan-Meier curves were plotted to compare therapeutic strategies after propensity-matching.

It can cause rare but potentially life-threatening lactic acidosis. Here, we presented a case report of linezolid-induced lactic acidosis (LILA), along with a systematic review of current literature.

T-Cell Prolymphocytic Leukaemia (T-PLL) is an aggressive disease with a poor prognosis and only curable by allogeneic stem cell transplantation. We describe the case of a male suffering from T-PLL. Therapy was alemtuzumab followed by an allograft from an unrelated donor.

Materials And Methods: Data were acquired using a continuous golden radial trajectory and multiple inversion pulses. For the correction of respiratory motion, motion estimation based on a surrogate was performed from the same data used for T1 mapping.
Unlabelled: tarch tilization ystem (Sus)D-homologs are well known for their carbohydrate-binding capabilities and are part of the operon in microorganisms affiliated with the phylum Bacteroidota. Until now, SusD-like proteins have been characterized regarding their affinity toward natural polymers. In this study, three metagenomic SusD homologs (designated SusD1, SusD38489, and SusD70111) were identified and tested with respect to binding to natural and non-natural polymers.

Objectives: To assess the practice of prescribing mesna prophylaxis for CYC-treated patients with AAV.
Methods: We invited authors of publications on AAV referenced in MEDLINE over the previous 10 years to participate in an anonymous online survey.
Nucleotide conversion RNA sequencing techniques interrogate chemical RNA modifications in cellular transcripts, resulting in mismatch-containing reads. Biases in mapping the resulting reads to reference genomes remain poorly understood. We present splice_sim, a splice-aware RNA-seq simulation and evaluation pipeline that introduces user-defined nucleotide conversions at set frequencies, creates mixture models of converted and unconverted reads, and calculates mapping accuracies per genomic annotation.

Here the synthesis and characterisation of heterobimetallic complexes of a 3d metal (4: Mn, 5: Co) and lanthanum supported by a (1,1,1-tris[(3-methoxysalicylideneamino)methyl]ethane) ligand is reported, as well as discussion of their electronic structure electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy, electrochemical experiments and computational studies. Competitive binding experiments of the ligand and various metal salts unequivocally demonstrate that in these heterobimetallic complexes the 3d metal (Mn, Co) selectively occupies the κ-NO binding site of the ligand, whilst La occupies the κ-O metal binding site in line with their relative oxophilicities.

Current options for diagnosis and treatment are scarce, highlighting the need to better understand its underlying pathogenesis. Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have emerged as a powerful tool for unravelling the pathogenic mechanisms involved in complex diseases.

In a sociological study, 71 interactions between physicians and simulated patients enacting chronic heart failure were video-recorded in China, Germany, the Netherlands, and Turkey as part of a quasi-experimental research design. Participating physicians varied in specialty and level of experience.

However, humans also tend to stick to familiar strategies, even when there are better solutions available. How do we exhibit flexibility in some contexts, yet inflexibility in others? The constrained flexibility framework (CFF) proposes that cognitive flexibility is shaped by variability, predictability, and harshness within decision-making environments.

Traditional X-ray methods are extensively applied to commercial cement samples in order to determine their physical and chemical properties. Powder patterns are routinely used to quantify the composition of these phase mixtures, but structure determination becomes difficult because of reflection overlapping caused by the high number of different crystal structures. The fast-growing 3D electron diffraction technique and its related automated acquisition protocols arise as a potentially very interesting tool for the cement industry, since they enable the fast and systematic acquisition of diffraction data from individual particles.

Here, we report that motional narrowing acts on the photoexcited spin-polarization in CHNHPbBr thin films, which are doped at percentage-level with Mn ions. Using ultrafast circularly polarized broadband transient absorption spectroscopy at cryogenic temperatures, we investigate the spin population dynamics in these doped hybrid perovskites and find that spin relaxation lifetimes are increased by a factor of 3 compared to those of undoped materials.

So far, the impact of pulmonary vein isolation by cryoballoon (Cryo-PVI) on RA is unclear. Moreover, the long-term effect of periprocedural termination of AF during the ablation procedure is controversial.

Recombinant therapeutic antibodies were successfully used to treat and protect at-risk patients from COVID-19.
