Aims: We aim to reveal and characterize the periodical variability of the rotational lines from several molecules and radicals in IRC+10216, and to compare it with previously reported IR variability.
Context: A discrepancy exists between the abundance of ammonia (NH) derived previously for the circumstellar envelope (CSE) of IRC+10216 from far-IR submillimeter rotational lines and that inferred from radio inversion or mid-infrared (MIR) absorption transitions.
Aims: To address the discrepancy described above, new high-resolution far-infrared (FIR) observations of both ortho- and para-NH transitions toward IRC+10216 were obtained with , with the goal of determining the ammonia abundance and constraining the distribution of NH in the envelope of IRC+10216.
Methods: We used the Heterodyne Instrument for the Far Infrared (HIFI) on board to observe all rotational transitions up to the = 3 level (three ortho- and six para-NH lines).
Research on narcissism and envy suggests a variable relationship that may reflect differences between how vulnerable and grandiose narcissism relate to precursors of envy. Accordingly, we proposed a model in which dispositional envy and relative deprivation differentially mediate envy's association with narcissistic vulnerability, grandiosity, and entitlement. To test the model, 330 young adults completed dispositional measures of narcissism, entitlement, and envy; one week later, participants reported on deprivation and envy feelings toward a peer who outperformed others on an intelligence test for a cash prize (Study 1) or earned higher monetary payouts in a betting game (Study 2).

In this paper, we report new observations of H2O(+) and H2Cl(+) performed with both Herschel and ground-based telescopes, to determine the abundances of their ortho and para forms separately and derive the ortho-to-para ratio. At the achieved signal-to-noise ratio, the observations are consistent with an ortho-to-para ratios of 3 for both H2O(+) and H2Cl(+), in all velocity components detected along the lines-of-sight to the massive star-forming regions W31C and W49N.

Background: Diverticulosis of the right colon occurs in a small percentage of patients in Western countries. Clinical presentation of right-sided colon diverticulitis is indistinguishable from that of acute appendicitis, and the majority of patients undergo surgical intervention for presumed appendicitis. The liberal use of diagnostic radiological modalities whenever appendicitis was suspected led to correct diagnosis and also to more preoperative diagnosis of right-sided diverticulitis, which consented conservative medical therapy in cases of uncomplicated right-sided diverticulitis.

Materials And Methods: Clinical, demographic, and histopathological data of patients with colorectal cancer were collected retrospectively from medical records and pathology reports.
Results: Ninety patients, 50 years of age or younger with a mean age of 42 years were compared with a group of 190 patients above 50 years of 50 (see Table 1).
Unlabelled: Thymus cell antigen-1 (Thy-1)-expressing cells proliferate in the liver during oval cell (OC)-mediated liver regeneration. We characterized these cells in normal liver, in carbon tetrachloride-injured liver, and in several models of OC activation. The gene expression analyses were performed using reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), quantitative RT-PCR (Q-RT-PCR) of cells isolated by fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS), and by immunofluorescent microscopy of tissue sections and isolated cells.
