Although A(H2) viruses that circulate in wild bird reservoirs are distinct from the 1957 pandemic A(H2N2) viruses, there is concern that they could impact animal and public health. The nitrogen (N) cycle from the catchment to the downstream reservoir is complex, particularly the quantification of N losses. However, in order to assess the nitrogen impact in a reservoir ecosystem, simplified models may be applicable regarding the TN load production and the magnitude of lake TN removal. The study goal was to determine spatiotemporal variations in chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) concentration using models that combine hydroclimatic and nutrient variables in 150 tropical reservoirs in Brazil. The investigation of seasonal variability indicated that Chl-a varied in response to changes in total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), volume (V), and daily precipitation (P). This paper investigated whether rainfall promotes dilution or increase in nutrient concentrations and which land use indicators are the main predictors of nutrients in intermittent rivers in a large Brazilian semiarid region. The total phosphorus (TP) and total inorganic nitrogen (TIN) were monitored between 2013 and 2018 at 92 river water quality monitoring sites. The monthly rainfall (Rn) was obtained from 575 rain gauges.

Thus, we investigated the contribution of different muscle quality indices on TUG performance prediction in obese older women. We secondarily evaluated the association between MQI, aerobic capacity performance (Treadmill performance and 6-minute walk test), and obesity indices (BMI, body fat percentage, and neck, waist, and hip circumference).

The Faculty of Medicine at Mandume Ya Ndemufayo University began teaching in 2009, taking on the challenge of outcomes-based education and aiming to train qualified professionals according to the needs of the community. This article aims to describe and analyze how the teaching of physiology is organized in the medical program at this university. This is a descriptive study of the course pedagogical plan from 2009 to 2020.

Resistance training and Down Syndrome: A narrative review on considerations for exercise prescription and safety.

The current manuscript reviews the literature on the health effects of resistance training (RT) for individuals with Down syndrome (DS), focusing on this training modality's methodology, application, and safety. The literature has mentioned that early aging in this population is associated with loss of muscle strength, lower lean and bone mass, and increased obesity. It is necessary to propose non-pharmacological measures for prevention and health promotion.

Palliative care and its own identity, through an autoethnography: do you recognize these patterns?

Introduction: After more than 25 years working in palliative care (PC) observing thousands of patients and family behaviors, I use my long experience and notes as a source of data for a qualitative research study. The aim is to identify frequent families' behavior patterns in PC and better describe the culture in PC.

Methods: This article is part of a larger project, using autoethnography as methodology, with the aim of helping doctors and interested health professionals better understand the culture and reality of PC.
