[Immunohistochemical analysis for the diagnosis of solitary fibrous tumor/ hemangiopericytoma].

The solitary fibrous tumor/ hemangiopericytoma (TFS/HP) is a rare mesenchymal extraaxial tumour. TFS/HP can sometimes be difficult to distinguish from other extra-axial tumors like meningioma, which can be clinically and radiologically indistinguishable. Molecular analysis with STAT6 (signal transducer and activator of transcription 6) nuclear expression or NAB2-STAT6 (NGFI-A binding protein 2) fusion is recommended to confirm the diagnosis.
