Article Synopsis
  • The study assesses how the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of kidney tissue relate to the severity of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and serum creatinine levels in patients.
  • Researchers analyzed MRI scans of 110 patients, measuring ADC values in various regions of the kidneys, and found significant differences in these values across different CKD stages.
  • The findings suggest that while ADC values can indicate renal dysfunction, specific thresholds are necessary to accurately classify CKD stages in diverse patient populations.
