Background: Help-seeking from traditional healers (TH) is common in patients with severe mental illness. However, the differences between patients with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder are not well-known. Although internalized stigma is also common in patients with severe mental illness, its impact on help-seeking from TH is not studied.

Facing Pandemic: Burnout in Nurses in Turkey.

Objective: Burnout syndrome is a disorder that characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal lack of accomplishment perception and it is common in nurses. During the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, nurses tried to take care of their patients and protect themselves and their families from disease and death. This study examines the factors affecting nurses' burnout in Turkey during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.

Association between thyroid autoimmunity and antidepressant treatment-emergent mania in pediatric mood disorders.

Risk factors associated with antidepressant treatment-emergent mania(ATEM) are poorly characterized in child and adolescent populations. To identify better biomarkers, we aimed to explore whether thyroid autoimmunity is associated with ATEM in pediatric mood disorders. We enrolled two groups of pediatric mood disorders, those with ATEM+ (n = 29) and those with ATEM- controls (n = 31).

Facing the Pandemic: Burnout in Physicians in Turkey.

Objective: During the COVID-19 pandemic, physicians have been working for long hours, with the fear of contracting the disease and infecting their families. Therefore, there are great concerns about the mental health of physicians. In this research, we aimed to reveal the factors that affect the burnout among physicians working during the pandemic.

Primary headaches among gender dysphoric female-to-male individuals: A cross-sectional survey on gender transition experience.

Objective: To investigate the frequency, attack characteristics, and treatment experiences of migraine and tension-type headache (TTH) among gender dysphoric female-to-male (FtM) participants as well as in relation to psychiatric comorbidities and real-life experience that relates to being transgender in Turkey.

Background: There are only a few publications to date on transgender individuals with headache. Further studies to understand the distinctive needs might provide better management.
