Purpose: Neoadjuvant chemotherapy in muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) patients has proven beneficial in overall survival. However, the optimal regimen is still a matter of debate.
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective analysis, we evaluate the results obtained in 42 patients treated in our center with 4 cycles of neoadjuvant dose-dense methotrexate, vinblastine, doxorubicin, and cisplatin (dd-MVAC) followed by radical cystectomy from August 2015 to October 2020.
Purpose: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have been incorporated in the treatment of metastatic urothelial carcinoma (mUC) upon platinum-based chemotherapy according to the positive results of large clinical trials. Nevertheless, results from unselected populations reflecting real-world data (RWD) are highly informative to the clinician. We reviewed daily clinical practice outcomes in patients with mUC who received atezolizumab in our institution.

Introduction: Perioperative chemotherapy improves overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) compared with surgery alone in patients with resectable gastric adenocarcinoma (GA) or gastro-oesophageal junction adenocarcinoma (GEJA). The addition of trastuzumab to chemotherapy improves outcomes in patients with HER2-positive advanced gastric cancer (GC), and we aimed to explore its role in the perioperative setting.
Material And Methods: This Spanish, multicentre, open-label phase II trial evaluated the efficacy and toxicity of perioperative capecitabine, oxaliplatin and trastuzumab (XELOX-T) in patients with HER2-positive resectable GA or GEJA.
Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a common complication of cancer. This study aimed to evaluate immature platelet fraction (IPF), mean platelet volume (MPV), P-selectin, D-dimer, and thrombin generation (TG) as predictive biomarkers for VTE and further the improvement of existing risk assessment models (RAMs).
Methods: A prospective, observational, exploratory study was conducted on ambulatory cancer patients with indication for systemic chemotherapy.
Advances in immunotherapy have led to radical improvements in outcomes, including overall survival, such as in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with metastatic disease treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors. More recently, promising results have been obtained in earlier disease settings, and combinations with other therapies are being actively investigated. Durvalumab, a monoclonal antibody directed against the programmed death ligand 1, has demonstrated significant activity in NSCLC, including increased progression-free survival rates after chemoradiation for unresectable stage III disease, with a favourable safety profile.

We conducted this study to better ascertain the incidence, susceptibility, and risk factors for CDI in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy at our hospital.
Methods: We performed a retrospective study among adult cancer patients admitted at "12 de Octubre" University Hospital between January 2009 through April 2013 who were diagnosed with diarrhea.
