An unusual case of recurrent stridor in a child.

A two-year-old child presented with history recurrent attacks of stridor. Initially he was thought to have laryngomalasia and treated accordingly but the symptoms did not improve with age. The child was symptomatic only during episodes of respiratory tract infection.

Unusual association of epidemic dropsy with brachial neuritis and palatal palsy.

Epidemic dropsy (ED) results from accidental ingestion of adulterated mustard oil with argemone oil. Chief organs involved in this disease are heart, subcutaneous tissue, eyes and kidneys. Nervous system involvement is very rare.
