Article Synopsis
  • - Spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (SICH) in the temporal lobe is rare and often coexists with other types of intracranial bleeding, but such cases are not commonly reported.
  • - This case study discusses an unusual instance of SICH that spread into subarachnoid and subdural spaces, necessitating surgical intervention through tubular hematoma evacuation instead of the usual conservative management.
  • - The choice to perform surgery in cases of supratentorial intracerebral hemorrhage is debated, but in this case, craniotomy effectively relieved symptoms and prevented severe complications like herniation.

Dandy-Walker Syndrome (DWS) is a rare congenital neurological condition characterized by cerebellar and posterior fossa malformations, often presenting a variable clinical spectrum. Common complications include hydrocephalus, necessitating interventions like ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunts, and endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV). We describe the case of a five-month-old infant conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF), initially presenting with cold-like symptoms, later diagnosed with DWS.
