Objectives: To elucidate the association between preoperative vitamin D level status, malnutrition risk score, and surgical and survival outcomes in patients with advanced laryngeal cancer following total laryngectomy.

Extraosseous Ewing's sarcoma is extremely rare in the soft tissues of the neck, especially in the sternocleidomastoid muscle. It usually manifests clinically as a rapidly growing mass that shows great potential for local spread. The aim of this paper is to present a rare case of еxtraosseous Ewing's sarcoma in the sternocleidomastoid muscle.

Surgical Resection of Nasal Chondroma via open Rhinoplasty Approach: A rare case Presentation and Review of Literature.

Unlabelled: Chondromas are benign tumors composed of mature hyaline cartilage tissue with well-defined boundaries that are commonly localised in the extremities with very few cases described in the head and neck region. We present a case of 57-year-old patient who consulted a specialist for an examination due to a change in the tip of the nose that persisted for the past 2 years. The clinical exam revealed a firm, tumor-altered tip of the nasal pyramid, with hyperemia of the skin above the mass.

Adoption of clinical practice guidelines in cases of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.

Purpose: Despite being one of the most common types of the peripheral vertigo encountered in clinical practice, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) remains underdiagnosed and undertreated, even in affluent health care systems. The publication of fully updated clinical practice guidelines significantly facilitated the diagnosis and treatment of BPPV. This study evaluates the adoption of the guidelines in our clinical setting and reviews further recommendations for quality-of-care improvement.

Acute onset of tinnitus in patients with sudden deafness.

Objective: We made hypotheses that tinnitus will appear more likely in patients with sudden deafness with superior hearing in unaffected ear or with more severe acute hearing loss.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed. Five hundred forty-one patients were identified with idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (ISSHL) from January 1995 to August 2006.

Malignant Otitis Externa: Causes for Various Treatment Responses.

Objectives: Malignant (necrotizing) otitis externa (MOE) is an aggressive form of skin inflammation of the external ear with a tendency to spread infection to the temporal bone. The study aimed to evaluate a causal relationship between treatment responses and clinical features in patients with MOE.
