Veterinary medicine is an increasingly feminized field, with growing numbers of veterinary students and professionals identifying as women. Increased representation of women in senior veterinary education leadership has not yet been examined across all global regions. To address this question, we compiled a comprehensive list of veterinary academic executives from veterinary educational institutions listed by the World Veterinary Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the World Organisation for Animal Health.

Veterinarians are the main source of information for farmers regarding the responsible use of antibiotics in farm animals and how to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance. Consequently, understanding how veterinarians perceive their clients' and colleagues' antibiotic use and their own beliefs about the development of antibiotic resistance is essential to determining areas in which antibiotic use practices can be improved to minimize the emergence of antibiotic resistance. An international cross-sectional study was carried out using a questionnaire designed to elucidate perceptions, attitudes, and concerns of dairy veterinarians regarding antibiotic use and the emergence of antibiotic resistance in dairy farming.
