Purpose: We aimed to investigate possible hormonal changes following microdissection testicular sperm extraction (mTESE) in men with non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA) across three referral centers.
Materials And Methods: We prospectively analyzed data from 102 consecutive NOA men. Patients with prior hormonal therapies were excluded.
Background: Penile dynamic color doppler duplex ultrasound (CDDU) is a relevant tool in assessing men with suspected vasculogenic erectile dysfunction (V-ED).
Aim: To investigate (1) factors potentially associated with V-ED to define risk classes useful in predicting V-ED; (2) the response to phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE5i); and (3) the onset of incident major cardiovascular (CV) events.
Methods: A cohort of men with ED and without known concomitant CVD was grouped into: patients undergoing CDDU (N.

Introduction: Since its introduction in clinical practice in 1981, pregnancies conceived by assisted reproductive techniques (ART) are an increasing proportion of all pregnancies, presenting particular challenges.
Objective: To analyze the maternal-fetal outcomes of pregnancies conceived by ART in a single center in Argentina. Material and methods: Retrospective cohort of pregnancies conceived by ART who attended their delivery in a private university hospital through a review of records.
Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescent (TADF) luminophores offer the potential to achieve 100% Internal Quantum Efficiency (IQE) by harvesting both singlet and triplet excitons reverse intersystem crossing from T to S. This class of molecules has therefore been embraced in the pursuit of cheaper and more efficient electrochemiluminescent (ECL) labels. The present study explores how tuning the electron-donating (D) and -accepting (A) strengths of peripheral substituents affects the ECL emission of mono- and dicyanoarene-based TADF dyes.

These results led to off-label use of dostarlimab or other immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in dMMR/MSI-LARC even before regulatory approval. The present study [STAR(t)-IT-REDUCE] describes the outcome of dMMR/MSI-LARC patients treated with ICI in Italy.

The aim of this study is to identify predictors of SCD after early-onset MI using long-term follow-up data relating to a large nationwide patient cohort.
Methods And Results: The Italian Genetic Study on Early-onset MI enrolled 2000 patients experiencing a first MI before the age of 45 years, who were followed up for a median of 19.
Excited states of radical anions derived from the photoreduction of stable organic molecules are suggested to serve as potent reductants. However, excited states of these species are too short-lived to allow bimolecular quenching processes. Recently, the singlet excited state of Meisenheimer complexes, which possess a long-lived excited state, was identified as the competent species for the reduction of challenging organic substrates (-2.

Objectives: The aim of the study was to assess the impact of CA of AF on clinical outcomes in a large cohort of HCM patients.
Methods: In this retrospective multicenter study, 555 HCM patients with AF were enrolled, 140 undergoing CA and 415 receiving medical therapy.
Background And Objective: No clear-cut markers for predicting positive sperm retrieval (+SR) at microdissection testicular sperm extraction (mTESE) have been identified thus far. Our aim was to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the ability of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), inhibin B (InhB), and anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) to predict +SR in men with nonobstructive azoospermia (NOA) undergoing mTESE.
Methods: We performed a search in the PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and Scopus databases according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis statement.
Room temperature phosphorescence rarely occurs from pure organic molecules, especially in the solid-state. A strategy for the design of highly emissive organic phosphors is still hard to predict, thus impeding the development of new functional materials with the desired optical properties. Herein, we analyze a family of alkyl and aryl-substituted persulfurated benzenes, the latter representing a class of organic solid-state triplet emitters able to show very high emission quantum yield at room temperature.

Little is known, however, of its role in sarcomere gene mutation carriers without overt left ventricular hypertrophy (subclinical HCM).
Methods: Thirty-eight subclinical HCM subjects and 42 healthy volunteers were enrolled in this multicenter case-control study.
Purpose: We aimed to investigate the relationship between follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and inhibin B (InhB).
Materials And Methods: Data from 1,230 consecutive men presenting for primary couple's infertility were analyzed. Health-significant comorbidities were scored with Charlson comorbidity index.
Donor-acceptor dyads based on BODIPYs have been recently employed to enhance the formation of triplet excited states with the process of spin-orbit charge transfer intersystem crossing (SOCT-ISC) which does not require introduction of transition metals or other heavy atoms into the molecule. In this work we compare two donor-acceptor dyads based on meso-naphthalenyl BODIPY by combining experimental and computational investigations. The photophysical and electrochemical characterization reveals a significant effect of alkylation of the BODIPY core, disfavoring the SOCT-ISC mechanism for the ethylated BODIPY dyad.

The propensity of pyrene and its derivatives to form excimers has found wide application in various fields. Nitrogen-substituted pyrene derivatives display similar photophysical properties, but for them, excimer emission has not been reported to date.

We sought to define the potential use of mavacamten by comparing real-world HOCM patients with those enrolled in EXPLORER-HCM and assessing their eligibility to treatment.
Methods And Results: We collected information on HOCM patients followed up at 25 Italian HCM outpatient clinics and with significant LVOTO (i.
Four novel seconeodolastane diterpenoids, named tricholomalides D-G, were isolated, together with the known tricholomalide C, from the fruiting bodies of Romagn., a species belonging to the large genus of higher mushrooms (, family ). They were isolated through multiple chromatographic separations, and the structures, including the absolute configuration, were established through a detailed analysis of MS, NMR, and CD spectral data and comparison with related compounds reported in the literature, which has been thoroughly revised.
