Objective: To describe the outcome indicators of implementing a cascade of care for latent Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection in people living with the human immunodeficiency virus.

Method: Cross-sectional study, carried out with people living with HIV, from 2022 to 2024, in a reference service in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. It occurred after the implementation of the following work process: Identification of people at risk for investigation of Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI); Test for LTBI; Exclusion of active TB cases; Treatment for LTBI; Adherence to treatment; and Completion of treatment.

Background: Brazil is considered an epicenter for emerging and re-emerging arboviruses that significantly impact public health. The mid-sized city of São José do Rio Preto (SJdRP) in northwestern São Paulo state is considered hyperendemic for arboviral diseases, with case numbers climbing each year. Only 45 cases of chikungunya (CHIKV) were reported in the city from 2015 to 2022, indicating cryptic circulation of this virus, but cases in the state increased notably in 2023.

Despite the success of first, second, and third generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) for non-small cell lung cancer with classical EGFR mutations (L858R or Exon 19 deletions), disease progression occurs due to the acquisition of T790M and C797S resistance. Herein, we report a physics-based computationally driven lead identification approach that identified structurally unique imidazo[3.2-]pyrazoles as reversible and wild-type-sparing EGFR TKIs of classical mutations bearing both T790M and C797S.

Numerous research studies show that mindfulness can mitigate the negative impact of trauma on mental health by reducing symptoms of anxiety, mediating the relationship between trauma exposure and mental health, and treating symptoms resulting from traumatic events. During the COVID-19 pandemic, which was considered a traumatic event, the wellbeing of adults and children was severely compromised. Although children seem less vulnerable to the physical effects of the virus, this does not seem to be true for the psychological effects.

A search for the exclusive hadronic decays W^{±}→π^{±}γ, W^{±}→K^{±}γ, and W^{±}→ρ^{±}γ is performed using up to 140  fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions recorded with the ATLAS detector at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=13  TeV. If observed, these rare processes would provide a unique test bench for the quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism used to calculate cross sections at colliders. Additionally, at future colliders, these decays could offer a new way to measure the W boson mass through fully reconstructed decay products.

Inhibition of integrin αvβ6 is a promising approach to the treatment of fibrotic disease such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Screening a small library combining head groups that stabilize the bent-closed conformation of integrin αIIbβ3 with αv integrin binding motifs resulted in the identification of hit compounds that bind the bent-closed conformation of αvβ6. Crystal structures of these compounds bound to αvβ6 and related integrins revealed opportunities to increase potency and selectivity, and these efforts were accelerated using accurate free energy perturbation (FEP+) calculations.

This study delves deeper into the impact of environmental temperature variations on the nervous system in teleost fish. Previous research has demonstrated that exposing adult zebrafish () to 18 °C and 34 °C for 4 or 21 days induces behavioural changes compared to fish kept at a control temperature of 26 °C, suggesting alterations in the nervous system. Statistical combinations of searches for charginos and neutralinos using various decay channels are performed using 139  fb^{-1} of pp collision data at sqrt[s]=13  TeV with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Searches targeting pure-wino chargino pair production, pure-wino chargino-neutralino production, or Higgsino production decaying via standard model W, Z, or h bosons are combined to extend the mass reach to the produced supersymmetric particles by 30-100 GeV. The depth of the sensitivity of the original searches is also improved by the combinations, lowering the 95% C.

The restoration of reefs damaged by global and local pressures remains constrained by the scale of intervention currently feasible.
