With about 1700 described species, the mining bee genus is a rapidly diversifying lineage and one of the most species-rich groups of bees. Recent phylogenomic advances have greatly improved our understanding of the phylogeny of the genus, yet many species still await description, subgeneric assignments that are in line with their evolutionary history, as well as study of their morphology and behavior. Here we provide a comprehensive account of a newly discovered species, n.

Recent data suggest that sevoflurane attenuates edema formation after SAH in rats. However, so far, no information is available about the long-term repair phase, nor if sevoflurane impacts functionality by increasing vascularity.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has adopted Permissible Exposure Levels (PELs) to limit the probability of REID to 3% for the risk of death due to radiation-induced carcinogenesis. The most significant contributor to current REID estimates for astronauts is the risk of lung cancer.

In this work, we show that BCCs in mice can invade the LM by abluminal migration along blood vessels that connect vertebral or calvarial bone marrow and meninges, bypassing the blood-brain barrier. This process is dependent on BCC engagement with vascular basement membrane laminin through expression of the neuronal pathfinding molecule integrin α6.

In this study, to gain a full overview of the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME), we assembled a flow cytometry cohort of 102 patients diagnosed with DLBCL at the Duke University Medical Center.
Methods: We collected diagnostic flow cytometry data, including the proportion of T cells, abnormal B cells, normal B cells, plasma cells, NK cells, monocytes, and granulocytes in fresh biopsy tissues at clinical presentation, and analyzed the correlations with patient survival and between different cell populations.

Objectives: In Mayotte, cervical cancer represents the second cause of cancer mortality in women. Vaccination coverage against papillomavirus and screening rates are difficult to quantify but among the lowest in France. Added to this is an under-calibrated health system, which does not allow optimal treatment of cancers on site.

Agriculture has contributed substantially to a reduction in global SOC through cultivation, thus there has been renewed focus on management practices which minimize SOC losses and increase SOC gain as pathways towards maintaining healthy soils and reducing net greenhouse gas emissions. Mechanistic models are frequently used to aid in identifying these pathways due to their scalability and cost-effectiveness.

Patients on dasatinib can rarely develop a form of benign reversible reactive lymphadenopathy termed follicular lymphoid hyperplasia (FLH). Here, we describe a patient with Ph+ ALL who developed follicular lymphoma (FL) after prolonged treatment with dasatinib and who had complete remission of FL after discontinuation of dasatinib.

For certain diseases, such as COVID-19, morphological impact across the multitude of blood cell types is still poorly understood. In this paper, we present a multiple instance learning-based approach to aggregate high-resolution morphological information across many blood cells and cell types to automatically diagnose disease at a per-patient level.

Microbial decomposition activity plays an important role in soil health; and gaining spatiotemporal insights into this attribute is critical for understanding soil function as well as for managing soils to ensure agricultural supply, stem biodiversity loss, and mitigate climate change. Here, a novel in situ electronic soil decomposition sensor that relies on the degradation of a printed conductive composite trace utilizing the biopolymer poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) as a binder is presented.

However, managing for multiple environmental and social objectives in urban landscapes is challenging, especially if the optimization of one ecosystem service conflicts with another. Urban ecology research has frequently been limited to a few indicators - typically either biodiversity or ecosystem service indices - making tradeoffs and synergies difficult to assess.

The purpose of this program evaluation was to evaluate implementation outcomes from the perspectives of nurses and nursing leaders regarding a previously conducted chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) bathing implementation science study among 14 critical care units.
Methods: Focus groups and interviews, using semistructured interview questions, were conducted to examine the perceptions of nurses who participated in a CHG bathing implementation science study.

The current COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is an emergency on a global scale, with huge swathes of the population required to remain indoors for prolonged periods to tackle the virus. In this new context, individuals' health-promoting routines are under greater strain, contributing to poorer mental and physical health. Additionally, individuals are required to keep up to date with latest health guidelines about the virus, which may be confusing in an age of social-media disinformation and shifting guidelines.

Declines in native bee communities due to forces of global change have become an increasing public concern. Despite this heightened interest, there are few publicly available courses on native bees, and little understanding of how participants might benefit from such courses. In October of 2018 and 2019, we taught the 'Native Bees of Texas' course to the public at The University of Texas at Austin Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center botanical gardens in an active learning environment with slide-based presentations, printed photo-illustrated resources, and direct insect observations.
