Inclusion of Adolescents in Clinical Trials for Sexually Transmitted Infections: A Review of Existing Registered Studies.

Purpose: Despite their heightened risk of sexually transmitted infections, minor adolescents (<18 years old) are often excluded from clinical trials. The results of trials of adults should not be assumed to generalize to minors.

Methods: Two public clinical trial registries were first searched using microbicide or PrEP with STD, STI, HIV, or HSV and with gel, ring, or film, and then searched using prevention/sexually transmitted diseases with gel.

Redetermination of cis-diaqua-diglycolato-zinc(II).

The title complex, [Zn(C(2)H(3)O(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)], was prepared and the crystal structure determined as part of a (67)Zn solid state nuclear magnetic resonance study. In the title complex, the Zn atom has a disorted octa-hedral coordination comprising two bidentate glycolate ligands and two water mol-ecules. The water mol-ecules are cis to each other; one is trans to a carboxyl-ate O atom and the other trans to an alcohol O atom.
