Purpose: To evaluate real-world experience using intravitreal brolucizumab (IVBr), alone or in combination with aflibercept, in eyes with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) treated previously with other inhibitors of VEGF (anti-VEGF).

Methods: This was a retrospective study of all eyes with nAMD treated with IVBr on a treat-and-extend protocol at a single center. Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), optical coherence tomography (OCT) at baseline and final visit, and drug-related adverse events were analyzed.

Purpose: To describe an unexpected and atypical transvitreal and subretinal fibrinoid reaction following vitrectomy for non-clearing vitreous hemorrhage due to proliferative diabetic retinopathy.

Observations: A 58-year-old woman with bilateral proliferative diabetic retinopathy and non-clearing vitreous hemorrhage underwent combined phacoemulsification, intraocular lens implantation and vitrectomy in the right eye. Two months later she underwent staged phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation followed by vitrectomy in the left eye.

Objective: Fovea-involving subretinal haemorrhage is challenging to manage with uncertain visual outcomes. We reviewed outcomes of patients with fovea-involving macular haemorrhage treated with pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) and subretinal tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) with pneumatic displacement.

Methods And Analysis: This is a retrospective interventional case series.

Purpose: To report a case of release of vitreomacular traction (VMT) in a patient with a full thickness macular hole (FTMH) immediately following pneumatic vitreolysis (PV) combined with head bobbing movements.

Methods: A 71-year-old female with VMT and an FTMH presented with blurred vision for 2 months to the level of 20/400. At her 1-month follow-up visit, PV was performed using CF gas and she was instructed to perform the drinking bird technique for ten minutes.

Purpose: To describe the etiology and clinical characteristics of macular edema (ME) in patients with familial exudative vitreoretinopathy.

Methods: Observational, retrospective case series of 30 patients (34 eyes) with ME and familial exudative vitreoretinopathy who underwent spectral-domain optical coherence tomography imaging between 2009 and 2016. Baseline and follow-up optical coherence tomographies were correlated with color fundus photography and fluorescein angiography.

Purpose: To review the clinical radiographic and histopathologic findings associated with orbital glial heterotopia.

Methods: A literature search in PubMed and Scopus was performed to include all articles published in English between 1980 and January 1, 2019. A case series including 29 case reports of 29 patients, as well as the authors' 2 cases, were considered in the literature review.

A 12-year-old boy presented with a total rhegmatogenous retinal detachment and a giant retinal tear in the right eye. Clinical examination, optical coherence tomography, and fundus images showed an optically empty vitreous, lattice degeneration, and retinoschisis of the macula. Genetic testing revealed mutations in the COL2A1 and RS1 genes, confirming a dual diagnosis of Stickler syndrome and X-linked retinoschisis, respectively.

Purpose: To report the visual acuity outcomes after pars plana vitrectomy for delayed vitreoretinal sequelae of infectious endophthalmitis. All eyes were initially treated with intravitreal antibiotics (Abx).

Methods: Multicenter, retrospective, consecutive case series.

Background: β-Blockers are often used for heart rate control during coronary CT angiography (CTA). Increased frequency and severity of allergic reactions to radiocontrast media (RCM) have been reported with concomitant use of β-blockers.

Objectives: The objectives of this study were to determine whether there is a higher incidence of allergic reactions to low-osmolar nonionic RCM in patients undergoing coronary CTA with concomitant β-blockers and to define the overall incidence and severity of allergic reactions in patients undergoing coronary CTA with and without a history of allergy to RCM.
