Objective: To evaluate serum phenobarbitone levels in neonates with seizures and to evaluate the effect of repeated loading dose on serum phenobarbitone levels.

Methods: In this prospective observational study conducted in a tertiary care centre of Northern India during 2011- 2012, 99 neonates admitted with seizureswere included.Serum phenobarbitone levels in neonates with seizures at 20 minutes and 12 hours after the first loading dose of phenobarbitone were measured.

Objective: To measure levels of micronutrients in children with cerebral palsy and compare them with neurologically normal children of similar nutritional status.

Methods: Fifty children with cerebral palsy (2-12 y) and 50 age and sex matched controls of similar nutritional status were enrolled. Detailed dietary history was recorded and nutritional status assessed.

Antiepileptic therapy is associated with alteration of thyroid hormone levels. We evaluated the effect of valproate and carbamazepine therapy on the thyroid hormone profile of epileptic children. Subjects included children aged 2-12 years receiving therapy for at least 6 months.
