Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are characterized by impaired social communication and interactions, as well as constrained and repetitive manifestations of interests and behaviors. Various interventions at cognitive and behavioral levels aim to address impaired social communication and interaction in individuals with ASD. This study systematically explores the transferability of social training in individuals with ASD, guided by the conceptual model known as the FIELD framework (Function, Implement, Ecology, Level, and Durability).

In this study we present a case of FEB with severe bowel dilatation identified on second-trimester ultrasound that was subsequently diagnosed with jejunal atresia postnatally.
Case Presentation: A 28-year-old primigravida woman was referred to our perinatology clinic at 18 weeks/3 days gestational age for a fetal anomaly scan.
Skin is the largest organ in body which has important functions. Therefore, to have a healthy skin is very essential, and wound dressings are specifically designed to promote the wound healing process. The aim of this study is to prepare and characterize a fiber-hydrogel wound dressing based on eggshell membrane (ESM) enriched with postbiotic compounds extracted from Lactobacillus plantarum NIMBB003 bacteria.

Methods: Blood serum samples were obtained from patients diagnosed with OSCC and confirmed through biopsy. The samples were collected from patients referred to the Mashhad Dental Faculty and Ghaem Hospital.
Background: Insomnia is a highly prevalent sleep disorder frequently comorbid with mental health conditions in nurses. Despite the effectiveness of evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), there is a critical need for alternative approaches. This study investigated whether internet-delivered mindfulness-based stress reduction (IMBSR) for insomnia could be an alternative to internet-delivered CBT-I (ICBT-I).

A systematic analysis of existing literature was conducted, encompassing 38 studies (496 ADHD and 1493 TD). Findings revealed a consistent propensity for riskier decision-making in individuals with ADHD, supported by significant correlations with attention, cognitive flexibility, inhibitory control, time perception, and working memory.

The olfactory piriform cortex (PC) has been posited as a critical site for olfactory associative memory. Recently, we have shown that N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR)-dependent plasticity in the PC critically underpins olfactory threat extinction.

They act as intermediaries for the exchange of bioactive chemicals between cells, released into the extracellular milieu by a variety of cell types. Within the context of cancer progression, metastasis is a complex process that plays a significant role in the spread of malignant cells from their main site of origin to distant anatomical locations.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 334 HIV positive patients were included. The molecular test was performed by the restriction fragment length polymorphism-polymerase chain reaction method.
The widespread use of highly complex synthetic dyes like reactive dyes in the textile industry has some adverse environmental impacts and deserves close attention. Biological treatment of these effluents utilizing various species of bacteria with remarkable efficiency in dye removal is still considered promising. Our current study deals with immobilizing an isolated bacterial strain into calcium alginate (Ca/Alg) gel beads and using it to treat pernicious pollutants like synthetic dyes.

Methods: This triple-blinded randomized clinical trial was conducted on menopausal women presenting to the healthcare centers in Mashhad, Iran, in 2019. The participants were selected using simple random sampling.
Aim: The bidirectional relationship between type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) and inflammatory periodontal disease (PD) is globally recognized. However, oral health components are often given lower priority, and studies related to knowledge and the bidirectional association are limited. This study assesses the knowledge and perceptions of PD and its associated risk factors among T1DM patients and/or their parents.

In the absence of additional reinforcement, the extinction of learned behaviors allows animals and humans to adapt to their changing environment. Extinction mechanisms and their therapeutic implications for maladaptive learning have been extensively studied.

Radiotherapy is usually prescribed as CC develops, however, radiation beams indiscriminately affect normal cells. Previous studies nominated that probiotics and their metabolites can be used to minimize the side effects of radiotherapy.

Background And Objective: Vaginal atrophy is a condition where the vaginal epithelium gets thinner and includes symptoms, such as vaginal dryness, abnormal vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding, dyspareunia, and sexual problems. Hormone therapy is associated with some problems and some women prefer herbal medicine to reduce vaginal atrophy. Considering the phytoestrogenic compounds present in the nettle, this study aimed to investigate the effect of the nettle vaginal cream on subjective symptoms of vaginal atrophy in postmenopausal women.

The present in silico study was done to design a novel vaccine candidate using tachyzoite-specific SAG1-realted sequence (SRS) proteins. Overlapping B-cell and strictly-chosen human MHC-I binding epitopes were predicted and connected together using appropriate spacers.

The knowledge of the risk and protective factors related to the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on older adults living in residential care homes is based on limited data. This study aimed to investigate whether loneliness mediates the effects of fear generated by a pandemic on depression.

The study aimed to investigate the prevalence and determinants of loneliness in middle and older veterans in southern Iran.
Materials & Methods: A cross-sectional study conducted among 583 middle and older male veterans (50 years <) who were selected by the census method in 2021.

Hypothesis: The dynamics of gas-liquid interfaces differs between aqueous surfactant and nanoparticle mixtures in rectangular cross-section capillaries.
Experiments: We designed and fabricated a new microfluidic device with a meter-long channel and a noncircular cross section (35 μm by 100 μm by 1 m) to study the flow behavior of long bubbles in capillaries wetted by water as well as surfactant and nanoparticle solutions. Flow in the novel symmetric loop device maintains essentially straight and inertialess conditions over a wide range of flow rates.

Methods: The PCOS rat model was made by the daily subcutaneous injection of testosterone enanthate (250mg/kg) for 21 days. Thirty rats were divided into five groups, including a healthy control group and four PCOS groups treated with various concentrations of hydroalcoholic extract of Mentha arvensis (0, 50, 100 and 200mg/kg).
Background: Insomnia and poor sleep quality are highly prevalent conditions related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) complications among clinical nurses. Although cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) is a first-line treatment, CBT-I suffers from several major drawbacks. This study investigates whether the application of the internet-delivered mindfulness-based stress reduction (iMBSR) intervention will produce effects that are non-inferior to the internet-delivered CBT-I (iCBT-I) intervention in reducing the severity of insomnia in clinical nurses with insomnia at the end of the study.
