[The protective activity of anti-Proteus blood preparations].

Human blood anti-Proteus preparation activity has been studied on the model of Proteus etiology sepsis in white not pedigree mice. It has been found out that anti-Proteus plasma and anti-Proteus immunoglobulin with antibody titre 1:80 possess marked therapeutic properties. The obtained results of the experimental studies are the grounds for clinical studies carrying out with the use of blood anti-Proteus preparations in combined therapy of the patients with diseases of Proteus etiology.

An applicational usage of a siliconcontaining sorpent "Sillard" in the complex of treatment of patients with hemophilia, suffering inflammatory-purulent complications, had promoted the shortening of the wound clearance duration by 2-3 days and of the patient stationary treatment--by 3-4 days.

[Natural antileptospirosis immunity in donor-capable subjects].

Natural antileptospirosis immunity of blood giving capable population of Kyïv was studied in 853 persons. It has been ascertained that during a year natural antileptospirosis antibodies can be found out in blood serum of people with different by ABO system blood groups. Antileptospirosis antibodies of high titres (> 1:80) are mostly present in spring and autumn.

[The effect of food products with an elevated radionuclide level on the blood and urine indices in rats].

Food influence, including raw meat with radionuclides (6.66 x 10(3) - 20.72 x 10(3) Bq/kg) during 30 days, on some homeostasis values was studied in white not pedigree rats.

Studied were particular features of peripheral blood, certain immunological and biochemical indices under long-term exposure of human body to radiation after the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The study comprised 5578 individuals. The examinees were liquidators of the Chernobyl accident sequels (n = 1052), inhabitants of Pripyat evacuated from the town (n = 850), the Kiev SSBT primary donors (n = 1738).

[The dynamics of the level of antiprotein antibodies in the recipient blood serum under different conditions of the passive inoculation of rabbits with allogeneic antiprotein blood preparations].

Dynamics of the content of antiproteic antibodies in the recipient blood serum was studied during intravenous and intramuscular passive immunization with allogenic antiproteic blood preparations. Experiments were carried out on 98 Chinchilla rabbits. Doses of the injected preparation, specific antibodies titres and the number of injections were varied.

[Specific immune preparations for the prevention and treatment of suppurative-inflammatory diseases of Proteus etiology (a review of the literature)].

Literature data are analyzed on the possibility of designing vaccines Proteus agents for obtaining specific blood agents. Perspective are designs directed to investigation of the raw material base for obtaining allogenous anti-Proteus blood agents.

[Experimental substantiation of the possibility to obtain anti-Proteus plasma].

The possibility to produce the anti-Proteus plasma is experimentally substantiated. It is determined that polyvalent Proteus antigen immunization permits producing blood immune preparation, that is the high-active anti-Proteus plasma. its antibodies belonging to the class of immunoglobulin G.

[Use of antiprotein donor plasma for specific detoxication therapy of children with severe burns].

Antiproteic donor plasma was included into the complex of treatment of 54 severely burned children, who had their clinical state, immunologic and hematologic indices been studied. A pronounced therapeutic effect of antiproteic immunotherapy was noted.

[The natural anti-Pseudomonas aeruginosa and anti-Proteus immunity of the suitable donor population].

The natural anti-pyocyanic and anti-Proteus immunity of donorable population of Kiev before the accident at Chernobyl Atomic Power Plant has been studied. Blood serums of 3024 deliberately non-immunized persons have been studied. It is determined that there are natural anti-pyocyanic and anti-Proteus antibodies in blood serum of people with different group belonging during the all periods of a year (by ABO system).

[The antibacterial immunity of people under dynamic observation in an altered radiation situation].

The comparative study of the isolation rate, level, antigenic and class specificity of serum antibodies to the causative agents of purulent septic infections (Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus mirabilis) and acute enteric infections in healthy adults with different ABO blood groups before (836 persons) and after (1,429 persons) the catastrophe at the Chernobyl nuclear power station was made. The study revealed the fact that the genesis of antibodies directed against different microorganisms can be stimulated without additional antigenic challenge in the form of disease or immunization, which was definitely indicative of the influence of small radiation doses in Kiev on the humoral immunity of the population. The multifactor character of the dependence of antibacterial antibody formation under altered radiation conditions on the specific features of the infective agent and the intensity of its circulation among the population, individual immune responsiveness of the body and concrete radiation conditions was established.

[Experimental study of polyvalent proteus antigen immunogenicity].

The experiments on 52 rabbits have been carried out to show the possibility to use Proteus antigen with high content of H-component (H1; H2; H3 Proteus antigens are most frequently found) for active immunization to make highly specific humoral immunity. The optimal scheme of immunization consists of 3 subcutaneous injections in doses of 0.25-0.

[Dynamic anti-Proteus immunity in plasma donors during plasmapheresis].

A study is presented of homeostasis in 18 volunteer donors after immunisation with Proteus vaccine and in the dynamics of subsequent plasmapheresis for 12 months. It was shown that as a result of anti-Proteus immunisation there occurs an increase of the titer of anti-Proteus antibodies in the blood serum which was maintained at a high level in the course of plasmapheresis for three months. Indices of the peripheral blood, urine, liver function, humoral unspecific and cellular immunity were within normal levels.

[Advisability of using donor blood immunoglobulin preparations for treating infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa].

Resulting from the studies of 623 series of the donor blood immunoglobulins, it was established that 19.2% of the series of a commercial preparation put on the market by the Republican blood service contain the natural antibodies to O-antigen and antigens of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa extracellular mucus at the titer of 1:80 and more. Series of the immunoglobulin preparation with a high content of specific antibodies can be used for the treatment of purulent-septic complications caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
