The current study was performed to evaluate the acute and subacute toxicities of biogenic tellurium nanorods (Te NRs). The Te NRs were prepared using Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes strain Te in a culture medium containing KTeO (1 mM) and their physiochemical properties were investigated using TEM, EDX and XRD. The median lethal dose (LD) of Te NRs and potassium tellurite (KTeO) were determined in mice and the subacute toxicity was also evaluated.

Background: Neonatal screening for PKU is carried out nationally and our center is one of the referral centers for molecular analysis of PKU in Iran. Hyperphenylalaninemias are common disorders of phenyalanine catabolism. Six genes, including PAH, PTPS, DHPR, GTPCH, SR, and PCBD, independently play a role in this disorder.

Hydrogen evolution of multi-walled nanotube (MWCNT)/micro-hybrid polymer composite, decorated with Ni nanoparticles through electroless deposition process is studied by the electrochemical method. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) is utilized to clearly study the electrochemical hydrogen storage/evolution behavior of the composite through a potential window ranging from -1.60 to +0.
