Background: There is growing evidence that long non-coding RNA long iatrogenic non-protein-coding RNA p53-induced transcript (LINC-PINT) is highly expressed in cancer tissue and is associated with the prognosis of cancer patients. The present study systematically analyzed the prognostic significance of LINC-PINT expression in cancer patients. We aimed to reveal the association between LINC-PINT expression and survival in cancer patients.

Outcomes of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection during the Omicron era.

Here, we present the outcomes of four patients with COVID-19 who underwent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) at the National Cancer Center in South Korea. Despite concerns about the unfavorable course of COVID-19 in HSCT recipients, none of our patients experienced severe COVID-19. Moreover, extended viral shedding in case 1, lasting over 100 days, was resolved after successful engraftment.

The purpose of this study was to assess pharmacy students' perceptions of the right of persons with disabilities to self-determination and to identify factors that affect pharmacists' attitudes and perceptions. A survey of 370 pharmacy students was conducted.

The Effect of CYP2D6 Phenotypes on the Pharmacokinetics of Propafenone: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Propafenone (PPF) is a class 1C antiarrhythmic agent mainly metabolized by cytochrome (CYP) 2D6, CYP1A2, and CYP3A4. Previous studies have shown that CYP2D6 polymorphism influences the pharmacokinetics (PK) of PPF. However, the small sample sizes of PK studies can lead to less precise estimates of the PK parameters.

Recurrent L3 Chordoma Presented as Intradural Extramedullary Mass With Distant Metastasis: A Case Report.

Here, we report a rare case of L3 chordoma progressed to an intradural extramedullary (IDEM) mass and distant metastasis to the fascia lata. A 64-year old female patient presented to a local university hospital due to back pain and received excisional biopsy for a L3 destructive bony lesion. Local radiation therapy was initially administered, assuming a malignancy of unknown origin, but she developed cerebrospinal fluid leakage during adjuvant radiation therapy, which was managed by wound revision and lumbar drainage.

Background: Interleukin-13 receptor α 2 (IL13Rα2) is a promising tumor-directed antigen of malignant glioma (MG). Here, we examine the efficacy and safety of T cells containing a YYB-103 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that can preferentially bind to IL13Rα2 on MG cells.

Methods: IL13 was modified on the extracellular domain by substitution of amino acids with E13K, R66D, S69D, and R109K and stably transfected into human T cells using a retroviral vector.

For predicting phenotypes and executing precision medicine, combination analysis of single nucleotide variants (SNVs) genotyping with copy number variations (CNVs) is required. The aim of this study was to discover SNVs or common copy CNVs and examine the combined frequencies of SNVs and CNVs in pharmacogenes using the Korean genome and epidemiology study (KoGES), a consortium project.
