Interesting Case of Anterior Communicating Artery Aneurysm Turns Out to Be a Ruptured Fenestrated A1 Segment Aneurysm With Concomitant Multiple Aneurysms: A Case Report and Literature Review.

The luminal separation of the vessel into two distinct, parallel channels that reunite distantly is known as fenestration. There is a correlation between the development of an aneurysm and the proximal portion of fenestration, although fenestrations are typically regarded as a variant of normal anatomy. We report an interesting case of an anterior communicating artery (a-comm) aneurysm, which turns out to be a ruptured fenestrated A1 segment aneurysm after digital subtraction angiography with concomitant multiple aneurysms treated by clipping along with case report and literature review.

Management of Posthemorrhagic Hydrocephalus.

Background: Although there are several successful treatment options available today, the optimal management of posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus (PHH) still remains undetermined.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and outcomes of contemporary treatment methods and to define current evidence-based management for PHH in premature infants.

Material And Methods: Literature was reviewed to identify and analyze merits and demerits of the currently available temporizing measures and definitive treatment for premature low-birth weight babies with PHH.

Background: Craniovertebral junction arachnoid cysts are uncommon. Among those reported, ventrally located arachnoid cysts at the extremes of age have been even rarer. We report a successfully managed case of a ventrally placed arachnoid cyst in an 88-year-old man using an unconventional surgical approach.

Cervical Intramedullary Cystic Teratoma with Dermal Sinus Tract: A Case Report and Review of Literature.

Intramedullary spinal teratomas are rare. We report a case in a 40-year-male who presented with progressive weakness over the right side of the body and gait imbalance. He had dermal sinus with hair patch over nape of the neck.

Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation Associated with a Cyst.

An 11-year-old child presented with chronic occipital headache and vomiting. Computed tomography (CT) scan revealed a cystic mass lesion in the right occipital region. Magnetic resonance imaging brain revealed a cystic mass lesion which was hypointense on T1-weighted images and hyperintense on T2-weighted images.

Cerebral Myiasis Associated with Artificial Cranioplasty Flap: A Case Report.

Background: Cranioplasty is a commonly performed procedure for the repair of cranial defects. Various materials have been used for this procedure and have a good safety profile. Human cerebral myiasis is an exceedingly rare condition.

Cerebral Nocardiosis is a rare, challenging, opportunistic infectious disease of the central nervous system occurring in both immunocompetent and immunocompromised hosts. It often results in intraparenchymal abscess formation, which represents only 2% of all cerebral abscesses. The diagnosis of cerebral Nocardiosis is seldom based on imaging.

Hemorrhagic colloid cyst: Case report and review of the literature.

Colloid cysts are cystic lesions located at the anterior part of third ventricle, close to foramen of Monro and contain colloid material. Hemorrhage in a colloid cyst is very rare. On literature review, we found only six cases of hemorrgic colloid cyst; among them, four were diagnosed at postmortem examination.

Surgical treatment and results in growing skull fracture.

Growing skull fracture is a rare complication of skull fracture and remains almost undetected in the first few years of life. Here, we report a series of 11 patients with growing skull fracture treated at our institute over a period of five years and discuss their clinical features, radiological findings, and principles of management. Of the 11 patients, six were females and five males, with the age ranging between 9 months and 12 years (mean, 3 years).

Giant solitary symptomatic tentorial xanthogranuloma in an adult: a case report.

Xanthogranulomas involving the central nervous system are uncommon, of which dural-based xanthogranuloma is rare. Xanthogranuloma of the dura large enough to cause symptoms is very rare. Intracranial xanthogranuloma usually occurs in association with systemic diseases like histiocytosis X or familial hyperproteinemia or Erdheim-Chester's disease.

Concomitant occurrence of subfrontal extradural hematoma and orbital subperiosteal hematoma: a rare entity.

Subfrontal extradural hematomas are uncommon, similar are orbital subperiosteal hematomas. Co-occurrence of both following head trauma is very rare. We describe co-occurrence of sub frontal extradural and orbital subperiosteal hematomas in four patients.
