Background: ABO blood group system modulates the inflammatory response and has been implicated in COVID-19. Group O protects against SARS-CoV-2 infection, but there are no data regarding post-COVID-19 syndrome (PCS). Our aim was to assess this possible association.

There are very limited data available concerning the growth outcome of EUGR children. Our aim was to assess the growth outcome in a cohort of children born before 34 weeks of gestation with severe EUGR.

These complexes were used in the asymmetric hydrosilylation of prochiral ketones. The reactivity and enantioselectivity of the reaction was shown to be dependent on the pyranose ring, the substituent at the sulfur atom, the hydroxylic protective groups and most significantly on the alkene co-ligand.

The conformational similarity of alpha-D-arabinopyranose with beta-L-galactopyranose allows the synthesis of both enantiomers of alpha-amino acid derivatives such as D- and L-DOPA in excellent ee (97% and 98%), using derivatives of the former sugar as catalyst precursors.

Objective: To determine the correlation between pH and bicarbonate of soda in blood and saliva in child and adolescent patients during the administration of 3 g/m2 of methotrexate.
Method: A controlled clinical test was performed on 23 patients diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Ages ranged from 4 to 18.
Objective: To analyze the behavior of pH and sodium bicarbonate (NAHCO3) in the saliva of patients with leukemia during the administration protocol for Methotrexate (Mtx).
Materials And Methods: A controlled clinical essay was carried out on 23 patients between 4 and 18 years of age with high-risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Sampling was carried out at To: basal condition; T1: 12 hours after intravenous administration of sodium bicarbonate, before administering Mtx and T2: 3 hours after administering Mtx, the time of maximum concentration.
Congenital microphthalmos and anophthalmos are currently considered rare conditions. Many infectious agents have been previously associated with these pathologies, but rarely Treponema pallidum. We report a case of bilateral microphthalmos in which her mother presented gestational syphilis.

Materials And Methods: A clinical, random-controlled assay was carried out. The sample was composed by 24 children, ages between 2 and 16 years, with diagnostic of Leukemia and Lymphomas attending to The Autonomous Service of University Hospital of Maracaibo and Hospital of Pediatric Specialties.
Introduction: Systemic sickness can originate and proliferate alterations in the periodontium. The presence of Anti-neutrophil Cytoplasmic Antibodies (ANCA) in patients suffering destructive periodontal disease and systemic illness has been widely proven.
Objective: To determine the existent relation between gingivitis and ANCA in children and adolescents suffering from leukemia.
During 2001and 2002, 53 accessions of sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) from a germ plasm collection maintained in the field at Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Agropecuarias, Maracay, Venezuela, were evaluated for diseases. Sweet potato accessions Catemaco and 2878 were symptomatic for chlorotic leaf distortion with deformation of young leaves and stunted vines.

The data indicate that physician education has a significant and positive impact on women's knowledge and behavior. After controlling for sociodemographic variables, women instructed by their ob/gyn were 11 times more likely to correctly identify preventive measures (p = 0.

Their severity and incidence may be reduced with procedures based on the prevention and elimination of sources causing oral infection and irritation.
Objective: The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the effectiveness of an Oral Disease Preventive Protocol in children with cancer, subjected to chemotherapy and prior to application of dentobacterial infection control.
