Hierarchical micro/nanostructured composites, which contain iron and/or its (hydr)oxides, demonstrate high rate and capacity of arsenic adsorption. The main objective of this paper is the use of novel low toxicity AlOOH/AlFe hierarchical micro/nanostructures for arsenic removal. AlOOH/AlFe composite was obtained by simple water oxidation in mild conditions using AlFe bimetallic nanopowder as a precursor.

NEUROLOGICAL MANIFESTATIONS OF PROLACTINOMA (CASE REPORT).

This article describes a clinical case of prolactinoma, the onset of which was diagnosed after long-term use of eglonil, after the appearance of such side effects as galactorrhea. Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 - a case report.

Unlabelled: Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 is a rare hereditary disease with an autosomal dominant type of inheritance characterized by high penetrance and the presence of hyperplasia and neoplasia in at least two different endocrine organs. The most often synchronously or consistently developing tumors are in the thyroid glands, the gastrointestinal tract and the adenohypophysis.

A Case Study: A patient 41-year-old with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 was treated with radiolabeled somatostatin analogues as a new promising treatment for patients with inoperable or metastatic neuroendocrine tumors.

MARKETING AUDIT OF UKRAINIAN PHARMACEUTICAL MARKET FOR LOCAL TREATMENT ACNE AND DEMODICOSIS.

Objective: The aim: To conduct a marketing audit of the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine for acne and demodicosis medications.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The study used marketing methods of analysis, survey, observation methods and reference literature - State Register of Medicines of Ukraine of the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Results: Results: As a result of marketing audit of retail audit data of pharmacy sales revealed that the leading sales in packaging is MNL benzylbenzoate, the share of which reached in different years from 45% to 32%, which was 1380902 and 647576 packages per year, respectively, in second place - metronidazole , benzoyl peroxide, zinc ointment and sulfur ointment respectively.

INFLUENCE OF AGE-RELATED ANDROGEN DEFICIENCY ON THE RISK FACTORS ЕOF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES IN MEN WITH HYPOTHYROIDISM.

The long-term androgen deficiency (AD) in men with hypothyroidism is an important problem due to the fact that it leads to concomitant cardiac pathology, which remains the leading cause of mortality in the world. The presence of different points of view on the problem of AD and its effect on the risk factors for cardiovascular disease in patients with hypothyroidismattracts attention. The aim of the study is to assess the clinical signs of age-related androgen deficiency and their association with cardiovascular risk factors in men with hypothyroidism.

Immunistochemical Analysis of the Expression of TGFβ, Galectin-1, Vimentin, and Thrombospondin in Gastric Cancer Associated with Systemic Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Dysplasia.

We performed immunohistochemical analysis of the expression of TGFβ, galectin-1, vimentin, and thrombospondin in the mucosa in gastric cancer of diffuse and intestinal type associated with systemic undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia. In diffuse gastric cancer, both with and without association with connective tissue dysplasia, a higher level of expression of TGFβ, galectin-1, vimentin, and thrombospondin in the tumor was detected in comparison with the perifocal and tumor zones in intestinal gastric cancer, which may reflect the pathogenetic peculiarities of the two histotypes of gastric cancer. Intestinal type of gastric cancer associated with connective tissue dysplasia is characterized by a high level of expression of galectin-1 and vimentin in the perifocal zone and TGFβ in the tumor zone.

SUCCESSFUL TREATMENT OF A PROLACTINOMA (CASE REPORT).

Currently, lots of young couples are facing infertility. One of the relatively rare causes of female infertility is prolactinoma - hormonally active pituitary tumor that secretes excessive quantity of prolactin. Excessive prolactin production is leading to anovulation and women infertility.

Ultrastructural liver changes in the experimental thyrotoxicosis.

Aim of the study is to evaluate ultrastructural changes of rat liver in experimental thyrotoxicosis. For the study, 36 male rats have been utilized, weighing approximately 150-190 g, which were divided into three groups: the first, control group (12 animals) was composed of healthy rats that received intragastric sodium chloride 0.9% solution, the second group (12 animals) - animals with experimental thyrotoxicosis, which received intragastric solution of L-thyroxine at the rate of 200 μg/kg for 2 weeks, and the third group (12 animals) - rats with experimental thyrotoxicosis, which received intragastric solution of L-thyroxine at the rate of 200 μg/kg for 4 weeks.

[A syntaxonomic analysis of the initial stage effect on secondary autogenous succession of broad-leaved forest].

Using successional system of Stachyo sylvaticae-Tilietum cordatae association as a case study, the possibilities are considered of applying syntaxonomy as developed on the basis of floristic classification principles. Characteristics of restorative successions on cut-over lands have been analysed at strong and weak disturbance of soil cover as well as in plantings of coenotically weak species Pinus sylvestris and coenotically strong species Picea obovata. High self-restoring potential of the association studied is emphasised.

[Basic trends in the development of the theory of syntaxonomy and plant communities dynamics].

Considered are trends in the development of two basic parts of phytosociology--syntaxonomy (vegetation classification) and vegetation dynamics. At the end of XX century, the consolidation of researches in the field of syntaxonomy has taken place on the base of Braun-Blanquet approach, as well as the development of syntaxonomy due to studies of vegetation in new regions, and adoption of information technologies. In Russia, Braun-Blanquet approach has being implemented only in 1980s, because before that its spread was impeded by political climate in the country.

[Contribution of syntaxonomy to the study of vegetation dynamics].

Of late decades, numerous studies on vegetation dynamics have been carried out and the spectrum of studied objects extended. However, syntaxonomy, while is capable to reveal patterns in vegetation changes, is virtually not used in analysis of succession. Prospects of syntaxonomy application to the study of vegetation dynamics are demonstrated by the example of succession analyses of pasture digression, vegetation changes under influence of recreation, progressive succession at the place of deserted settlements.

There was analyzed the influence of warmth, moisture, and soil fertility on species richness and phytosociological spectrum of phytocenoses of three classes of Southern Ural autochthonous forests: Querco-Fagetea (nemoraloher-bosa), Vaccinio-Peceetea (boreal forests), and Brachypodio-Betuletea (hemiboreal forests). Environmental factors were estimated by Landolt's scales. We studied the changes of syntaxa of association rank by means of gradient phy-tosociological analysis.

[Contribution of the Brown-Blanquet method to the explanation of species richness of the plant communities].

A possibility of estimation of factors of formation of species richness of the plant communities by H-function as a measures of complexity of the phyto-sociological spectrum of communities is proved. The phyto-sociological spectrum reflects contribution of those various syntaxa to the coenofloras that indicate ecotope character and the successional status of communities. Analysis of a wide set of grassy vegetation of the South Ural region (from synanthropic to natural) revealed a linear positive correlation between H-function values and species richness.

[Synanthropic plant communities: models of organization and features of classification].

It is proposed to distinguish between three models of organization in synanthropic plant communities formed under the influence of man: R-modle, communities of segetal weeds in fields of annual crops and at initial stages of restoration successions; R --> CRS-model, serial communities of the later stages of restoration successions; CRS --> S-model, serial communities of allogenic successions under the influence of grazing and other external factors. The higher units of the ecological and faunistic classification (classes and orders) well represent the succession status and the soil and climate conditions under which synanthropic communities are formed. At the same time, the continual character of synanthropic vegetation makes recognition of plant associations inexpedient in some cases.
