Aim: This study aimed to develop a Japanese version of the Birth Satisfaction Scale-Revised and evaluate its reliability and validity.
Methods: After translating the Birth Satisfaction Scale-Revised into Japanese, we conducted an Internet-based cross-sectional study with 445 Japanese-speaking women within 2 months of childbirth. Of these, 98 participated in the retest 1 month later.
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine hesitancy is a major concern in this pandemic context. This study postulates that vaccine hesitancy among individuals might be associated with a high state of decisional conflict which indicates a state of delayed decision-making. This study aimed to identify the factors related to COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and examine the relationship between COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and decisional conflict by focusing on 3 sub-factors: value, informed, and support.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional survey using self-administered questionnaires distributed among the nurses or care staff of 2000 special nursing homes randomly selected nationwide using stratified random sampling according to each prefecture's ratio of numbers of facilities. The internal consistency of the tool was calculated using Cronbach's α and construct validity was assessed using confirmatory factor analysis.
Background: People with heart failure report various symptoms and show a trajectory of periodic exacerbations and recoveries, where each exacerbation event may lead to death. Current clinical practice guidelines indicate the importance of discussing future care strategies with people with heart failure. Advance care planning (ACP) is the process of discussing an individual's future care plan according to their values and preferences, and involves the person with heart failure, their family members or surrogate decision-makers, and healthcare providers.
