T-lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL) and thymoma are two rare primary tumors of the thymus deriving either from T-cell precursors or from thymic epithelial cells, respectively. Some thymoma subtypes (AB, B1, and B2) display numerous reactive terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-positive (TdT) T-cell precursors masking epithelial tumor cells. Therefore, the differential diagnosis between T-LBL and TdT T-lymphocyte-rich thymoma could be challenging, especially in the case of needle biopsy.

Rabies virus (RABV) transcription and replication take place within viral factories having liquid properties, called Negri bodies (NBs), that are formed by liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS). Splenectomy is effective in ∼70% to 80% of pediatric chronic immune thrombocytopenia (cITP) cases, and few data exist about it in autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) and Evans syndrome (ES). Because of the irreversibility of the procedure and the lack of predictions regarding long-term outcomes, the decision to undertake splenectomy is difficult in children. Primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma (PMLBL) is a rare entity predominantly affecting adolescents and young adults.
