Purpose: Dengue virus infection in humans can also lead to severe complications like dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and dengue shock syndrome (DSS). The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates around 50 to 100 million dengue infections annually, with approximately 500,000 cases of DHF and 22,000 deaths, predominantly among children. The present study aimed at identifying circulating serotypes of dengue virus in patients by molecular techniques.

Background: The current study was performed aiming to evaluate possible changes in the effect on oxygen consumption, hematology and gill histopathological parameters in fish () upon exposure to sublethal concentration of the metalloid arsenic.

An unusual cause for rings in the brain.

We report the case of a 35-year-old man from North India who presented with generalised tonic-clonic seizures and was found to have ring-enhancing brain lesions. He had a coincident adrenal mass lesion. Cultures from both regions grew Histoplasma capsulatum.
