Atorvastatin Induced Adverse Drug Reactions among South Indian Tamils.

Introduction: Atorvastatin is the most widely used statin world-over. Although atorvastatin is beneficial in reducing cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, they are associated with Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) which are under-recognized as well as under-reported. There is no data on safety of atorvastatin in ethnic populations like South Indian Tamils and hence the need for this study.

An Elegant Analysis of White Spot Syndrome Virus Using a Graphene Oxide/Methylene Blue based Electrochemical Immunosensor Platform.

White spot syndrome virus (WSSV) is a major devastating virus in aquaculture industry. A sensitive and selective diagnostic method for WSSV is a pressing need for the early detection and protection of the aquaculture farms. Herein, we first report, a simple electrochemical immunosensor based on methylene blue dye (MB) immobilized graphene oxide modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE/GO@MB) for selective, quick (35 ± 5 mins) and raw sample analysis of WSSV.

Influence of nanoparticle concentration on thermo-physical properties of CuO-propylene glycol nanofluids.

Experiments were performed on the preparation and characterization of CuO-propylene glycol nanofluids. The influence of nanoparticle concentration and temperature on nanofluid viscosity reveals existence of a range of nanoparticle concentration and temperature in which the viscosity of nanofluid is lower than that of propylene glycol, possibly due to interactions between nanoparticles and propylene glycol.
