The study of the hypoxia markers against the background of prolonged hyperglycemia in experimental animals.

Objective: Aim: The aim of article is to investigate the energetic functions of retinal mitochondria under conditions of chronic hyperglycemia to understand the pathogenic mechanisms involved in the development of this diabetic complication.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: The experimental study was carried out on non-linear rats which were divided into 2 groups: intact animals and rats with diabetic retinopathy. We investigated the level of lactate, pyruvate and adenine nucleotides.

Case report: Bilateral eye injuries in members of one family due to a cluster munition in Ukraine.

The aim of the study was to report the effects of surgical treatment of three victims of a cluster munition in Ukraine. A 32-year-old woman and her sons-6-year-old male twins-presented in Poland after 18 days of delay in treatment. All ocular injuries were bilateral.
