Statement Of Problem: Although average values and facebow records have been incorporated into prosthetic dentistry with much success, little is known about how using 3D facial scans for mounting compare with traditional mounting methods.
Purpose: The purpose of this pilot clinical study was to determine differences in measurements among casts mounted virtually by using the average values of the Bonwill triangle and the Balkwill angle, casts mounted by using facebow records, and casts mounted from 3D facial scans.
Material And Methods: Intraoral digital scans were obtained from each participant (n=10) and 3D printed in resin.
Introduction: During the COVID-19 pandemic, dental schools were required to reformat their curricula to accommodate regulations mandated to protect the health of students and faculty. For students enrolled in the Operative Dentistry preclinical courses at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM), this modified curriculum included frontloading the course with lectures delivered remotely, followed by in-person laboratory exercises of learned concepts. The aim of this article was to determine the impact that the modifications had on student performance and student self-evaluation capabilities.

Uridine 5'-diphosphate- glucuronosyltransferases are colocalized with carboxylesterases and have the potential to further metabolize carboxylic acids to acyl glucuronides, but it is currently unknown if acyl glucuronides, being esters, also interact with carboxylesterases.
Objective: This study explores the ability of acyl glucuronides to act as substrates or inhibitors of human carboxylesterases 1 (hCES1) and 2 (hCES2).
