Objective: The aim of the work was to evaluate STE feasibility as DSE visualization method and its accuracy compared to coronary angiography (CAG) in the patients with moderate-tohigh coronary arteries disease (CAD) risk.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: We prospectively examined 140 pts (84 (60.0%) men) with suspected CAD in order to verify diagnosis and evaluate myocardial viability and coronary reserve.

Study of 17 single nucleotide polymorphisms has been performed to determine the factors of genetic predisposition to essential hypertension. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with subsequent analysis of restriction fragment length, allele specific PCR or real-time PCR was used for genotyping of 17 single nucleotide polymorphisms in 14 genes in 145 children with essential hypertension and 144 healthy persons with following complex multivariate statistical analysis. Two single nucleotide polymorphisms--MMP9 (C(-1562) --> T) and NOS3 (Glu298 --> Asp)--rs3918242 and rs1799983--were shown to represent the main independent effects with the highest predictive potential (77.

With new algorithms of pattern recognition three types of regulation of oxygen delivery and consumption were studied: at normal regulation, hypo- and hyperfunction of heart. It is shown that a surplus systemic blood flow results in increase of arterio-venous shunt flow. Insufficient blood flow results in increase of arterio-venous gradient of blood oxygen content due to the increase of gradient of oxygen content on both sides of capillary wall and to activating of vasomotor function of microcirculatory arterial bed.

Appraisal of morphological and functional features of cord blood cells involving identification of precursor cells marked with specific monoclonal antibodies makes it possible to regard cord blood as biologically valuable hemopoietic tissue with a high repopulation potential. Studies aimed at developing optimal conditions of cryopreservation allow the stocks of biologically valuable tissue to be built up.

In 20 patients operated on for acute pancreatitis, the blood plasma viscosity, aggregative characteristics of erythrocytes and thrombocytes were studied after the operation. Effectiveness of inclusion into the complex of treatment of corrigative therapy, therapeutic plasmapheresis and plasmosorption is shown.

Introduction of separation plasmapheresis and plasmasorption into intensive therapy of 60 patients with surgical endotoxemia ensured marked detoxication, which manifested in earlier improvement of the clinical symptoms and normalization of intracellular metabolism in cellular elements of the peripheral blood. The data obtained make it possible to recommend the use of the above treatment procedures for elimination of profound intracellular metabolic disturbances in the postoperative period.

Peculiarities of the course of a wound process in 52 patients ranging in age from 16 to 60 years with the extremely severe burns were studied. Suppression of the vascular reaction and deceleration of the cellular reactions of the extravascular phases of inflammation, alteration of protease-antiprotease activity at the region of injury in dynamics of a wound process were revealed. Antiinflammatory action of the combined methods of general and local sorptive detoxication were substantiated.

In combined use of general and local sorption detoxication in 30 patients with severe burns, the pronounced antiinflammatory action is caused by redistribution of neutrophilic granulocytes with different activity of myeloperoxidase systems, decrease in lesion of a vascular wall and development of the perfect cellular reactions into extravascular phase of inflammation. The area of deep burn wounds reduced 2.8-fold when compared with that in patients, in whom no sorption methods were used.

Mouse NK/LY lymphoma cells were modified by Con A or Vibrio cholerae neuraminidase (VCN). Severe damage of the modified cells was not revealed by either supravital staining or light microscopy. Ultrastructural signs of metabolic lowering in the Con-A-treated cells were determined.

The development of inflammatory reaction in 106 patients with severe and extremely severe burns in combined use in the complex treatment of extracorporeal hemosorption, enterosorption, applicative sorption by the powdery PMS-Zn sorbent, passive immunotherapy was studied. The modulative effect of the methods of general and local sorptive detoxication on the development of inflammatory reaction of the area of thermal trauma with reduction of damaging effect of proteolytic enzymes and formation of cellular reaction directed at protection from microorganisms and beginning of the proliferative stage of reparative regeneration is shown. Lethality in severe burns was 17.

Vibrio cholerici neuraminidase was studied on CBA mice for its effect on the strain NK/Ly lymphoid cells oncogenicity in intraabdominal transplantation. The 30% decrease in transplantability of cells treated by the enzyme in the dose of 50 U/ml was established. The modulating effect of specific active immunotherapy by modified cells in lymphoma was also studied.
