Aim: Achieving the optimal apposition of coronary stents during percutaneous coronary intervention is not always feasible. The risks and benefits of stent postdilation in primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) have remained controversial.
