  • - Lichen planopilaris (LPP) is an autoimmune condition causing hair loss, and treatments like hydroxychloroquine and methotrexate have been ineffective for many patients.
  • - JAK inhibitors, which modulate the immune response, have shown potential as a new treatment option for LPP and its variant, frontal fibrosing alopecia, based on a review of 7 articles involving 35 patients.
  • - Current evidence is mainly from retrospective studies, highlighting the need for more comprehensive research, including larger prospective studies and randomized controlled trials, to confirm the effectiveness of JAK inhibitors in these conditions.
