Background: Cervical cancer is a major cause of morbidity and mortality among women worldwide; it is ranked the 4th most common cancer among women globally. The current recommendation for cervical cancer (CC) screening involves the use of cytology examination methods like Pap smear. However, there is a lack of data on the practice of Pap smear screening in Egypt.

Genetic analyses have provided evidence to suggest that Bax and Bak are the essential genes for apoptosis in mammalians cells. This study aimed to search for biomarkers in breast cancer to be used as prognostic markers for the disease. Background And Objectives: Relapsed, histologically aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) has a poor prognosis; relapsed patients who do not respond to second line therapy or are unfit for BMT have a worse prognosis. Angiogenesis is increased in aggressive NHL and could be targeted by selective cyclooxygenase-2 inhibition and metronomic chemotherapy. We assessed the toxicity of metronomic chemotherapy and the response and progression-free survival in patients with relapsed/refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).

Impact of CD40 expression by flowcytometry on outcome of patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Lymphoid malignancies represent a wide variety of disease entities characterized by malignant proliferation of lymphoid cells which have distinct clinical features, cellular morphology, immunophenotype, cytogenetic changes and histologic features. CD40 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor super-family. It was first identified and characterized in B cell, signaling through the CD40 receptor was found to play an important role in multiple events in T-cell dependent antibody response including B-cell survival and proliferation, memory B-cell formation and immunoglobulin isotype switching.
