Smions doped Phospho-Borate glasses were synthesized and their physical and spectroscopic parameters were studied to evaluate its potential reddish-orange emission for photonic applications. Structural investigation made through XRD analysis confirms the amorphous nature. The evaluated bonding parameters from the absorption spectral analysis confirm the ionic bonding of the Sm-O network in the prepared glasses.

The natural radioactivity in the associated soils where tea plants are cultivated plays a major role in determining the presence of radionuclides in tea leaves. The present study assesses the transfer of radionuclides from soil-to-tea leaves and then estimates the committed effective doses through tea consumption.

An exclusive set of Dy ions incorporated Boro-phosphate glasses with different modifier ions like Sr, Mg, Ba, Li and Zn have been manufactured by quenching the melts. The optical behavior of the present glasses was explored through absorption, luminescence & lifetime studies. Physical parameters such as refractive index (RI) and density have been calculated and utilized to evaluate other parameters.

However, the use of individual neutron dosimetry has been developing more aggressively lately. In this regard, present study establishes a relationship between the neutron dosage and the optical property changes of graphite-rich materials caused by high doses of neutron radiation.

Four hundred, 7-d old mixed sex chicks were divided into 4 groups of 5 replicates 20 birds per replicate including (10 males and 10 females). Birds in the control group (T1) were fed a diet containing Enramycin (0.

This study investigated the potential of Raman spectroscopy, to differentiate between two different types of human pathological conditions with some symptom similarity; typhoid and dengue. Raman spectra were recorded from 20 Salmonella Typhi infected and 22 dengue virus (DENV) infected sera samples using laser wavelength 785 nm. When Raman spectrum (540 to 1830 cm) of serum samples was compared it showed significant variations.

Using the flask-incubated fat cell system, alterations in glycerol release (lipolysis) and cAMP accumulation were determined after incubation with isoproterenol or forskolin. These agents caused concentration-dependent increases in both cAMP accumulation and lipolysis. The maximum responses to forskolin for each variable were greater than the corresponding responses to isoproterenol.
