Background: Appropriate selection of surgical approach for associated fractures of the acetabulum that involves both columns is still elusive. Therefore, present study aimed to assess the quality of life of complex acetabulum fracture managed with combined anterior and posterior approach (dual approach) as well as the association of postoperative reduction and patient reported outcomes.
Material And Methods: This retrospective study was performed on 42 associated acetabular fracture patients with involvement of both columns, who were treated with a dual approach including combined anterior modified ilio-inguinal approach in combination with posterior Kocher-Langenbeck (K-L) approach in a single anaesthetic session having minimum two years follow-up.
Background: Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is a well-established procedure to cure tubercular hip arthritis in patients with healed tuberculosis while its role in active tuberculosis is still debatable. The aim of the study is to investigate the functional outcomes of THA in active tuberculosis with advanced hip arthritis. The reactivation of tuberculosis and complications postoperatively has also been assessed.

To our knowledge, such a technique has not been described in the literature previously.
Methodology: 25 patients with a past treatment history of hip tuberculosis came to our medical college with complaints of worsening pain in the hip joint and limping.
Background Malnutrition in hospitalized patients is a significant problem. This study aimed to assess the utility of the Subjective Global Assessment (SGA) in predicting the association between serum biomarkers and malnutrition in patients with limb injuries as well as the impact of malnutrition on clinical and radiological bone healing. Methodology This prospective study included 93 patients with limb injuries.

Methods: One hundred forty children were enrolled in the study. They were evaluated for age, sex, morphometric measurements, clinical carrying angle (CCA) and radiological carrying angle (RCA).
Purpose This prospective cohort study aims to determine the factors that are associated with the carrying angle of the human elbow in the pediatric age group. Methods One hundred forty children up to 15 years of age were assessed for age, sex, forearm lengths of both sides, arm length of both sides, trans-trochanteric diameter, height, BMI, the inter-epicondylar distance of both sides, Baumann's angle of both sides, presence or absence of secondary sexual characteristics, clinical carrying angle (CCA) of both sides, and radiological carrying angle (RCA) of both sides. Unpaired t-test was used to compare the means of carrying angle in the unrelated groups, namely gender and secondary sexual characteristics.

Methods: The present study was conducted on patients with ACL tear admitted in the department of orthopaedics, King George's Medical University, Lucknow wherein a total of 70 subjects were assigned into two groups of 35 patients each randomly, viz Group 1 in which the patients were treated by quadruple hamstring graft alone and Group 2 in which the patients were treated with augmented hamstring graft with PRP. The standardized anterior drawer test, Lachman's test, Lysholm knee score were quantified both preoperatively and postoperatively at different follow-ups and also tibial tunnel widening was measured postoperatively at different follow-ups.
Background: Complex anatomy of acetabular fracture is quite challenging for the orthopedic surgeons. Many Acetabular fracture fixation approaches have been used for a long time to treat different fracture patterns of acetabulum. Kocher-Langenbeck Approach (K-L approach) of acetabulum fracture is usually used by most of orthopedic surgeons.

Objective: The current research was conducted with an aim to assess the association of oral microbiome with Potentially malignant disorders (PMDs) because usage of tobacco in any form alters the normal microbiome and shifts it towards dysbiosis. Thus, our definitive knowledge of the oral commensal bacteria and oral cancer link can definitely be used as a potential adjunct to early diagnosis and management of PMDs and prevent it's malignant transformation.
Study Design: A total of 100 individuals of minimum 18 years of age were included in the study which, were classified into 2 groups of tobacco users (50) and non-tobacco users (50).
Objectives: The current research was undertaken with an aim to correlate the expression of E-cadherin with histopathological grading in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) patients. Further, the objectives of the study were to evaluate the qualitative and quantitative expressions of E-cadherin in OSCC and to correlate the number of tumor cells of OSCC, immunopositive for E-cadherin with histopathological grading of OSCC.
Materials And Methods: Immunoexpression of E-cadherin antibody was evaluated in previously diagnosed, paraffin-embedded sections of 20 tissues each of well-differentiated and moderately differentiated OSCC, 17 tissues of poorly differentiated OSCC, and 10 tissues of normal oral mucosa; Chi-square test, analysis of variance, and Tukey's honestly significant difference test were employed for statistical analysis.
Introduction: The optimal mode of treatment among the wide variety of surgical and nonsurgical treatment options for children between 5 and 15 years of age continues to be controversial. Elastic stable intramedullary nailing of long bone fractures in the skeletally immature has gained widespread popularity because of its clinical effectiveness and low risk of complications.
Methods And Methodology: From Jan 2015 to August 2016, 35 patients including 37 limbs with diaphyseal fractures of the femur in the age group 5-15 years were managed by Titanium Elastic nailing and their clinico-radiological and functional outcome was assessed at 1 year post operatively as per the Flynn's criteria.
Inrtoduction: Amputation of the extremity is a big challenge to mankind. Revision rate of primary amputations stands high despite of maximum care at tertiary care centres. The purpose of this study was to establish cause for the revision, identify preventable cause and to assess outcome of revision amputation surgery.
