Background And Aim: Diabetes has been shown in last decades to be associated with a significantly higher mortality among patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) treated with primary PCI (PPCI). Therefore, the aim of current study was to evaluate the impact of diabetes on times delays, reperfusion and mortality in a contemporary STEMI population undergoing PPCI, including treatment during the COVID pandemic.

Methods And Results: The ISACS-STEMI COVID-19 is a large-scale retrospective multicenter registry involving PPCI centers from Europe, Latin America, South-East Asia and North-Africa, including patients treated from 1st of March until June 30, 2019 and 2020.

Purposes: Evaluate the changes in quality of life (QoL) in patients affected by tertiary hyperparathyroidism (THPT) after surgical treatment using the Parathyroidectomy Assessment of Symptoms (PAS) and Short Form-36 (SF-36) questionnaires.

Methods: Single centre longitudinal retrospective, single-institution analysis of 34 patients with THPT and submitted to parathyroidectomy between 2015 and 2021. The PAS and SF-36 questionnaires were administered before surgery and 24 months after discharge.

Cholecystokinin-expressing interneurons (CCKIs) are hypothesized to shape pyramidal cell-firing patterns and regulate network oscillations and related network state transitions. Using a novel statistical estimator and theoretical modeling, both developed in the framework of maximum entropy models, we reveal highly structured CA1 cell-cell interactions in male rats during open field exploration. Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) hypersensitivity still represents one of the major deals for patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASHD), especially for those requiring percutaneous coronary interventions in the absence of validated alternative options.
