- The study analyzed publication metrics using Scopus, comparing pre-residency and residency publications among orthopaedic residents who graduated in 2021, while excluding certain groups such as military residents and international graduates.
- Results showed that residents with 2 or more pre-residency publications produced significantly more publications during residency, and those at higher-ranked programs also reported greater publication success, highlighting the importance of both prior productivity and program caliber.
