Silver nanoparticles have gained significant attention recently due to their unique antibacterial properties, making them promising candidates for wound care applications. This study proposes a novel approach for advanced wound care using a silver nanoparticle-impregnated biogenic spray hydrogel supplemented with collagen and chitosan. Silver nanoparticles were incorporated into the hydrogel (optimized by a QbD approach) to impart antimicrobial activity, crucial for combating wound infections and promoting faster healing.

Several elements influence the absorption of oral medications, including their solubility, permeability across mucosal membranes, and stability within the gastrointestinal (GI) environment. Research has delved into comprehending physicochemical, biochemical, metabolic, and biological obstacles that impact the bioavailability of a drug.

Methods: In this cross-sectional observational study, of total 192 subjects, 138 subjects [150 eyes, 80 glaucoma subjects (91 eyes) and 58 healthy controls (59 eyes)] were analysed and included. Each subject underwent 24-2 EF and SF in randomized order with a minimum time interval of 1 hour between tests.
Cardiovascular disorders (CVDs) are reported to occur with very high rates of incidence and exhibit high morbidity and mortality rates across the globe. Therefore, research is focused on searching for novel therapeutic targets involving multiple pathophysiological mechanisms. Oxidative stress plays a critical role in the development and progression of various CVDs, such as hypertension, pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmia, atherosclerosis, ischemia-reperfusion injury, and myocardial infarction.

Betulinic acid (BA) is a natural triterpenoid extracted from Bacopa monnieri. BA has been reported to be used as a neuroprotective agent, but their molecular mechanisms are still unknown. Therefore, in this study, we attempted to investigate the precise mechanism of BA for its protective effect against Titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2NP) induced neurotoxicity in zebrafish.

The eye is an ideal candidate for gene therapy due to its unique characteristics, such as easy accessibility and the ability to target both corneal and retinal conditions, including retinitis pigmentosa (RP), Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA), age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and Stargardt disease. Currently, literature documents 33 clinical trials in this field, with the most promising results emerging from trials focused on LCA.

Context: Hypocalcemia predisposes patients with chronic hypoparathyroidism (cHypoPT) to an increased risk of QTc prolongation and life-threatening arrhythmias. Information on clinical and biochemical correlates of QTc in cHypoPT is limited.
Design And Setting: Observational cohort study at tertiary-care-center.
Background: Antibiotics resistance is an paramount threat affecting the whole world but nowhere situation is as gloomy as in India. No study till date regarding epidemiology of hospital acquired infections in coronary care units(CCU) and cardiology wards from India. From Indian perspective it is the first observational study to analyse microbiological profile and antibiotic resistance in CCU.

Chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment (CICI), also known as "chemobrain," is a common side effect of breast cancer therapy which causes oxidative stress and generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Ferulic acid (FA), a natural polyphenol, belongs to BCS class II is confirmed to have nootropic, neuroprotective and antioxidant effects. Here, we have developed FA solid dispersion (SD) in order to enhance its therapeutic potential against chemobrain.

In recent years, nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems have emerged as promising strategies to address the limitations of conventional cancer chemotherapy. The key trends include utilizing nanoparticles for enhancing drug delivery to prostate cancer cells.

Case Summary: We describe the case of a 56-year-old gentleman who presented to our institute with Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) class III angina.
Background: Genome-wide association studies identify SORT1 gene associated with risk of coronary artery disease (CAD). Sortilin protein enhances LDL absorption, form cell development, and atherosclerosis in macrophages.
Aim: We therefore explored SORT1 expression in CAD patients and its gene expression's predictive usefulness for the severity of the disease.

Salivary gland tumours are relatively uncommon, and there exists a considerable diagnostic difficulty owing to their diverse histological features in individual lesions and the presence of a number of types and variants, in addition to overlapping histological patterns similar to those observed in different tumour entities. One such group of variations is clear cell tumours of oral cavity which constitute an assorted group of lesions that may be odontogenic or metastatic or of salivary gland origin. The clear cell variant of mucoepidermoid carcinoma is at times misleading to the clinician because of its atypical location and innocent appearance.

Neurological disorders such as epilepsy, autism, Huntington's disease, multiple sclerosis, and Alzheimer's disease alter brain functions like cognition, mood, movements, and language, severely compromising the well-being of persons, suffering from their negative effects. The neurotransmitters (GABA, glutamate, norepinephrine, dopamine) are found to be involved in neuronal signaling and neurotransmission. GABA, a "commanding neurotransmitter" is directly or indirectly associated with various neurological disorders.

Methods: In RFT, the 9-0 polypropylene suture needle and a 26-Gauge needle pierce the iris tissue from the posterior surface to emerge on the anterior surface along the proximal and distal portion of iris tissue to be apposed, respectively. The 9-0 needle is threaded into the barrel of a 26-Gauge needle and is withdrawn from the eye.

The objective of this study was to develop and evaluate a novel vesicular formulation of luliconazole (LUL) for the management of infection through a topical route. LUL-loaded transethosomes (LUL-TE) were prepared by the film hydration method and various independent and dependent variables were optimized using the Box-Behnken design. Selected critical material attributes were the content of phospholipids (X1), concentration of ethanol (X2), and amount of sodium cholate (X3).
