Robotic Surgery in Pediatric Urology: A Critical Appraisal of the GECI and SIVI Consensus of European Experts.

This study aimed to create a consensus statement on the indications, applications, and limitations of robotics in pediatric urology. After a panel and interactive discussion focused on pediatric robotics, a televoting with 10 questions was administered to 100 pediatric surgeons/urologists attending the joint meeting of the French Group of Pediatric Laparoscopy (GECI)/Italian Society of Videosurgery in Infancy (SIVI) in 2021. The results of televoting were analyzed electronically using Mentometer software.

Association between alcohol and crack: Prevalence, effects, associated factors and experiences of combined use.

Background: The aim of this study is to identify the information and communication technologies used by health professionals to assist in training and updating of technical and scientific knowledge about crack, exchange of experiences, and development of programs to prevent consumption and treatment of addicts.

This paper aims to describe the dream content of crack cocaine users as per their view and analyze its interference in the drug withdrawal process. This is a qualitative research with 21 crack cocaine users. Life-saving vascular access after combined liver and kidney transplantation: A challenging access to the right atrium.

Exhaustion of vascular accesses is a major complication in patients undergoing hemodialysis, especially in pediatric setting. We report the case of a boy treated for loss of hemodialysis access after a combined liver-kidney transplantation and transient renal dysfunction. An interventional dilatation of calcific superior vena cava allowed to insert a stable central venous line for dialysis until full graft recovery.

Minimally Invasive Treatment of Pediatric Extrinsic Ureteropelvic Junction Obstruction by Crossing Polar Vessels: Is Vascular Hitching a Definitive Solution? Report of a Multicenter Survey.

Comparison of Native Ureteral Ligation and Open Nephrectomy for Pediatric Renal Transplantation.

Purpose: In pediatric renal transplant recipients there are some indications for native nephrectomy, which can be performed before, during or after transplantation. Indications include massive proteinuria resistant to therapy, intractable hypertension, polyuria and chronic or recurrent kidney infections. In this study, the results of a multicenter long-term survey are presented.  From 11 units of pediatric urology/surgery, patients with TM were identified and yearly, followed up in a 7-year period, adopting a specific database.
