Accumulating evidence suggests that the family act as critical players (tumor-suppressor or oncogenic) in a wide range of human cancers. Analysis of microRNA (miRNA) expression signatures and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database revealed that that two passenger strand miRNAs, and , were downregulated in cancer tissues, and their low expression was closely associated with worse prognosis in patients with BrCa. Functional assays showed that and overexpression significantly inhibited cancer cell aggressiveness, suggesting these two miRNAs acted as tumor-suppressors in BrCa cells.

Our previous study found that first-line dual therapy with tiotropium/olodaterol significantly reduces sedentary time compared to tiotropium monotherapy in Japanese patients with treatment-naïve COPD, although the characteristics of responders to dual-therapy versus monotherapy for COPD are still unclear.
Methods: Patients with treatment-naïve COPD were randomized to receive either tiotropium or tiotropium/olodaterol treatment for 12 weeks.
Onychomycosis with longitudinal spikes in the nail plate has been reported to be refractory to oral drugs as with dermatophytoma. We evaluated the efficacy of 10% efinaconazole solution in the treatment of onychomycosis with longitudinal spikes. Of the 223 subjects who were enrolled in a previous study, a post-hoc analysis of 82 subjects with longitudinal spikes was performed in this study.

We sought to compare the changes in physical activity before and after tiotropium and tiotropium/olodaterol treatment in treatment-naïve COPD patients.
Methods: A prospective, multicenter, randomized, open-labeled, and parallel interventional study was conducted.
The intestinal microbiota shapes and directs immune development locally and systemically, but little is known about whether commensal microbes in the stomach can impact their immunological microenvironment. Here, we report that group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) were the predominant ILC subset in the stomach and show that their homeostasis and effector functions were regulated by local commensal communities. Microbes elicited interleukin-7 (IL-7) and IL-33 production in the stomach, which in turn triggered the propagation and activation of ILC2.

The objective of this study was to confirm the safety and efficacy of CART, evaluate the actual situations with respect to the prescription of diuretics and determine the role of diuretics after the introduction of CART. Patients and Methods We recruited 34 cirrhotic patients who received CART with concomitant diuretics using furosemide (76.

Among 605 participants, 219 patients diagnosed as having onychomycosis were evaluated for the efficacy of efinaconazole. The treatment success rate (<10% clinical involvement of the target toenail) at the final assessment time point was 56.

The object of the study was to investigate on the chronic effects of a gut commensal on extra-intestinal glands. The presence of autoimmune response was diagnosed by autoantibody levels and histological methods.

However, previous studies on HL have focused predominantly on the relationships between functional HL (the ability to read and write), comprehensive HL including the ability to access information (communicative HL), and the ability to critically evaluate information (critical HL). Self-care behavior has not been evaluated.

Background: Telemonitoring of heart failure (HF) patients is increasingly discussed at conferences and addressed in research. However, little is known about actual use in specific countries.
Objective: We aimed to (1) describe the use of non-invasive HF telemonitoring, (2) clarify expectations of telemonitoring among cardiologists and nurses, and (3) describe barriers to the implementation of telemonitoring in Japan and Sweden.
Background: Health literacy (HL) is an important concept for patient education and disease management with heart failure (HF). However, research on HL has predominantly focused on functional HL (ability to read and write). The World Health Organization advocates evaluating comprehensive HL, including the ability to access information (communicative HL) and critically evaluate that information (critical HL).

On admission, his corrected serum calcium level was 9.3 mg/dL, and his intact parathyroid hormone level was 121.

However, the pathophysiological features of the antigen-induced late airway response (LAR) are not yet fully understood. In the present study, sensitized rats were repeatedly exposed to ovalbumin (OVA) to induce IAR and LAR, and the immunological profiles of IAR and LAR were examined.
