Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to investigate the radiation levels in isolation rooms after thyroid cancer patients received radioactive iodine treatment, as no prior studies addressed this issue.
  • Researchers monitored ambient radiation and surface contamination levels for three weeks following patient releases, using various measurement tools in multiple locations around the room and corridor.
  • The findings indicated that occupational radiation risk was minimal post-release, though certain areas like the toilet bowl and sink showed significant contamination and necessitated careful hygiene management.

QRS widening has important clinical and prognostic implications in patients with chronic heart failure. The presence of ventricular dysynchrony results in abnormal wall motion, impaired ventricular contractility, decreased ventricular filling, and increased mitral regurgitation.
