This study explores the influence of Fe ion incorporation on the oxygen-evolution reaction (OER) in alkaline media, utilizing CuO-based materials. Instead of developing an efficient and stable OER catalyst, this research investigates two distinct CuO variants: one with Fe ions adhered to the surface and another with Fe ions integrated into the CuO lattice. By employing a variety of analytical techniques, the study demonstrates that the CuO variant with surface-bound Fe ions (referred to as compound 1) exhibits significantly enhanced OER performance compared to the variant with internally embedded Fe ions (referred to as compound 2).

Continuous, in-line monitoring of antibody concentration could be useful in a variety of applications, such as controlling the loading of protein A columns to prevent breakthrough, monitoring bioreactor titer, and detecting leaks past ultrafiltration/diafiltration membranes. The present study aims to assess the spatio-temporal patterns of vegetation disturbance and regrowth caused by shifting cultivation in Tripura state of India, over the past three decades, utilizing temporal segmentation of time-series Landsat data. This study investigated the dynamic changes in NiFe (hydr)oxide and identified the role of high-valent Fe in the oxygen-evolution reaction (OER) within alkaline media via in situ techniques. Several high-valent Fe ions were found to remain considerably stable in the absence of potential in NiFe (hydr)oxide, even 96 hours after the OER. For Ni hydroxide treated with Fe ions, where Fe sites are introduced onto the surface of Ni hydroxide, no Fe species were detected at the rate-determining step (RDS).

We investigate the linear interference of a plane wave with different localized waves using the coupled Fokas-Lenells equation (FLE) with four-wave mixing term. We obtain the localized wave solution of the coupled FLE by linear superposition of two distinctly independent wave solutions, namely, the plane wave and one soliton solution and the plane wave and two soliton solution. We obtain several nonlinear profiles depending on the relative phase induced by soliton parameters.

Successful cell and gene therapy clinical trials have resulted in the US Food and Drug Administration and European Medicines Agency approving their use for treatment of patients with certain types of cancers and monogenetic diseases. These novel therapies, which rely heavily on lentiviral vectors to deliver therapeutic transgenes to patient cells, have driven additional investigations, increasing demand for both pre-clinical and current Good Manufacturing Practices-grade viral vectors. Although glutamine addiction in cancer cells is extensively reported, there is controversy on the impact of glutamine metabolism on the immune cells within the tumor microenvironment (TME). To address the role of extracellular glutamine, we enzymatically depleted circulating glutamine using PEGylated gamma-glutamyl transferase (PEG-GGT) in syngeneic mouse models of breast and colon cancers. PEG-GGT treatment inhibits growth of cancer cells , but it increases myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) and has no significant impact on tumor growth.
