Pain is the most frequently encountered symptom by patients with fibromyalgia (FM). Dietary supplements (DSs) in particular have a proven impact as a possible adjunctive therapy for symptom management in FM. However, there is currently no conclusive review outlining the evidence for DSs in pain management in FM.

Heterocycles consisting of a nitrogen atom, Indazole, is a pungent, biological, heterocyclic, bicyclic compound possessing electron-rich portions. Indazole is composed of two nitrogen atoms put under the azoles family, further called isoindazolone. It is colorless solid nitrogen- containing heterocyclics with atomic formula-C7H6N2 are extraordinary scaffolds, still identified as isoindazole.

Background: Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), a melanin synthesis pathway enzyme hydroxylating tyrosine into 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, is involved in the pigmentation and sclerotization of insect cuticles. However, the role of TH in 28-spotted potato ladybeetle (Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata), an emerging pest of the solanaceous crops has been explored to a limited extent. In this study, we integrated dietary RNA interference (RNAi) and hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining with various bioassays to analyze the role of tyrosine hydroxylase (HvTH) throughout the developmental processes of Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata.

Background: Cataract and corneal blindness continue to be leading causes of reversible blindness in India. These can co-exist in a multitude of pathologies such as trauma, healed keratitis (old herpetic scar), chronic degenerative changes such as labrador keratopathy, bullous keratopathy, corneal dystrophies etc. Phacoemulsification in such eyes is rewarding to the patient in terms of minimal intervention, less risk of complications owing to reduced open sky time (as in case of combined keratoplasty), and better predictable visual outcomes.

Introduction: Cancer metastasis to the scapula and tibia is an infrequent clinical presentation. Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world. Around 80-85% of lung cancer are non-small cell lung cancer and around 30-35% of them are adenocarcinoma which metastasize to bone.

Spinal arteriovenous malformations (sAVM) are abnormally developed spinal blood vessels with an increased risk of hemorrhage. Current literature regarding sAVMs is sparse and describes classic presentations in very young children or adults. We report a unique case of a sAVM in an adolescent patient.

Immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy (IMNM) is categorized into three groups: anti-3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase (HMGCR) IMNM, anti-signal recognition particle (SRP) IMNM, and seronegative IMNM. Cardiac involvement has been reported in a significant segment of patients with IMNM of the anti-SRP type. Emerging evidence now suggests that cardiac involvement is also implicated in the anti-HMGCR subgroup.

Vicinal carboamination of alkynes is a highly reliable and efficient practical strategy for the quick preparation of valuable and diverse amine derivatives starting from simple synthons. The last decade has witnessed numerous practical methods employing transition-metal-based/metal-free carboamination approaches using alkynes for the synthesis of these N-bearing entities. Driven by the renaissance of transition metal catalysis, intermolecular and intramolecular carboamination of alkynes comprising concomitant C-N and C-C bond formation has been studied extensively.

Introduction: More than 13 million people in the US are morbidly obese. It is associated with various medical and anesthetic complications. Higher rate of dislocation in total hip replacement (THR) associated with morbid obesity due to thigh girth, low muscle mass and high-fat content.

Although acute encephalopathy is quite commonly seen in patients of SARS-CoV-2 infection, encephalitis characterised by brain inflammation is relatively rare. Encephalitis caused by Herpes simplex type 1 is the most common cause of identified sporadic encephalitis, and early diagnosis and prompt treatment can prevent the devastating outcome. In this brief communication, we report a case of SARS-CoV-2 associated haemorrhagic encephalitis mimicking herpes encephalitis.

HOIL-1, a component of the linear ubiquitin chain assembly complex (LUBAC), ubiquitylates serine and threonine residues in proteins by esterification. Here, we report that mice expressing an E3 ligase-inactive HOIL-1[C458S] mutant accumulate polyglucosan in brain, heart and other organs, indicating that HOIL-1's E3 ligase activity is essential to prevent these toxic polysaccharide deposits from accumulating. We found that HOIL-1 monoubiquitylates glycogen and α1:4-linked maltoheptaose in vitro and identify the C6 hydroxyl moiety of glucose as the site of ester-linked ubiquitylation.

A general and flexible visible light-induced photoisomerization method of γ-()-alkylidenebutenolides to their corresponding -components was reported in this article. Initially, a series of naturally occurring enantiopure γ-()-alkylidenebutenolides was synthesized by employing a "Pd-Cu" bimetallic cascade cyclization protocol. In the later part, the synthesized γ-()-alkylidenebutenolides were photoisomerized in the presence of a triplet photosensitizer to γ-()-alkylidenebutenolides in reasonably acceptable yields.

Background: Prediction of outcome of West syndrome (WS) in relation to etiology and electrophysiology remain pertinent challenges.

Objective: This study aimed to compare electro-clinical and imaging characteristics between WS of "unknown-etiology"; "symptomatic"WS; to gauge the evolution and impact of electroencephalographic (EEG) patterns on seizure outcomes.

Materials And Methods: Electro-clinico-radiological data of 76 children with WS who were followed up for atleast 1 year was collected for reviewing clinical, therapeutic and EEG profiles (sub-typed as typical and modified hypsarrhythmia [HA]).

Fushi-tarazu factor 1 (FTZF1) is an ecdysone-inducible transcription factor that plays a vital role during the metamorphosis in insects. In this study, we functionally characterized HvFTZ-F1 in H. vigintioctopunctata, a dreadful solanaceous crop pest, by using a dietary RNA interference technique.

High precision measurements of the polarized electron beam-spin asymmetry in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering (SIDIS) from the proton have been performed using a 10.6 GeV incident electron beam and the CLAS12 spectrometer at Jefferson Lab. We report here a high precision multidimensional study of single π^{+} SIDIS data over a large kinematic range in Bjorken x, fractional energy, and transverse momentum of the hadron as well as photon virtualities Q^{2} ranging from 1-7  GeV^{2}.

The expression of TNF-Receptor Associated Factor 6 (TRAF6) is essential for many physiological processes. Here we studied the phenotype of TRAF6[L74H] knock-in mice which are devoid of TRAF6 E3 ligase activity in every cell of the body, but express normal levels of the TRAF6 protein. Remarkably, TRAF6[L74H] mice have none of the phenotypes seen in TRAF6 KO mice.

G Protein-Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) represent the largest superfamily of cell-surface proteins. However, the expression and function of majority of GPCRs remain unexplored in breast cancer (BC). We interrogated the expression and phosphorylation status of 398 non-sensory GPCRs using the landmark BC proteogenomics and phosphoproteomic dataset from The Cancer Genome Atlas.

Reports of cardiac arrhythmia secondary to loperamide toxicity have become increasingly common in the literature. We present two patients in their mid-20s, each having overdosed on loperamide and subsequently manifesting life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias not otherwise explained by known pathology. An analysis of the limited research available indicates that loperamide's capacity to block ion channels may be responsible for these events.
