An Interprofessional Primary Palliative Care Curriculum for Health Care Trainees and Practicing Clinicians.

Background: Equipping all interprofessional clinicians with foundational palliative care competencies is essential to address the complex needs of the growing number of adults living with chronic, progressive, or life-threatening serious illness. There is a paucity of high-quality, open-access primary palliative care curricula and to the best of our knowledge, none designed interprofessionally.

Objective: As an interprofessional team, we aimed at designing and evaluating an interactive primary palliative care education curriculum for interprofessional clinicians and trainees.

What We Do: Key Activities of an Outpatient Palliative Care Team at an Academic Cancer Center.

Background: Outpatient palliative care (PC) has been shown to positively impact quality of life and decrease healthcare utilization, but there are limited data describing what activities render these benefits.

Objective: Describe the topics addressed by an outpatient PC team during scheduled visits.

Design: Longitudinal cohort study.

Survivorship clinic group educational sessions: adoption, acceptance, and attendance.

The number of breast cancer survivors now exceeds 2.5 million in the USA. In the near future, it is likely that existing systems will not be sufficient to provide follow-up care and services for all these patients.
