Phosphatidylcholine (PC) has garnered considerable attention due to its involvement in a wide array of crucial biological functions. However, there is still much to active explore regarding the precise mechanisms that underlie PC's actions in the context of high-fat diet. In this study, we found that both PC intervention and treatment significantly mitigated lipid accumulation, liver damage, and body weight gaining triggered by the high-fat diet.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAptamers are attractive recognition ligands for sensing proteins due to their favorable affinity, specificity, stability, and easy synthesis. However, it is difficult to detect proteins directly in complex biological samples without sophisticated equipment or tedious sample pretreatment. Herein, we developed a portable electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA) platform for direct protein aptasensing in complex biological samples.

Due to their recognition abilities and inherent regenerability, aptamers have great potential in biosensing applications. However, effective signal transduction and regeneration strategies are still required. Herein, we develop a melting-based aptamer sensing strategy capable of homogeneous signaling with over 1000 regenerating cycles without significant deterioration of performance.

Here, we evaluated the antitumor activities of CD38/CD47 bispecific antibodies (BsAbs).
Methods: Five suitable anti-CD38 antibodies for co-targeting CD47 and CD38 BsAb were developed using a 2 + 2 "mAb-trap" platform.
Antibacterial materials with high hydrophobicity have drawbacks such as protein adsorption, bacterial contamination, and biofilm formation, which are responsible for some serious adverse health events. Therefore, antibacterial materials with high hydrophilicity are highly desired. In this paper, UV-curable antibacterial materials are prepared from silicone-containing Choline chloride (ChCl) functionalized hyperbranched quaternary ammonium salts (QAS) and tri-hydroxylethyl acrylate phosphate (TAEP).

However, the ts-11 strain is usually difficult to distinguish from the non-ts-11 strain (including field isolates and other vaccine strains (F and 6/85)). Therefore, it is critical to establish a rapid and effective method to distinguish ts-11 strains from non-ts-11 strains.

Methods: 112 patients with GCs undergoing gastric MRI were prospectively enrolled between Aug 2022 and Dec 2022. Axial DLSB-TWI and BLADE-TWI of stomach were scanned with same spatial resolution.
Thermal stability and iron saturation of lactoferrin (LF) are of great significance not only for the evaluation of the biological activities of LF but also for the optimization of the isolation and drying process parameters. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is a well-established and efficient method for thermal stability and iron saturation detection in LF. However, multiple DSC measurements are typically performed sequentially, thus time-consuming and low throughput.

This FeO@CPAM was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) techniques, and its synergistic performances with microwaves were evaluated in detail with respect to the microwave radiation power, radiation time, and magnetic nanoparticle concentration. On this basis, the distribution of oil droplets and the wettability and chargeability of magnetic nanoparticles were measured without or with microwave radiation using biomicroscopy, contact angle measurement instrument, and a ζ-potential analyzer, thus revealing the synergistic demulsification mechanism between microwave and magnetic nanoparticles.

The increasing use of titanium dioxide (TiO) nanoparticles (NPs) has raised concern about the safety of food additive TiO. TiO has been considered no longer safe by EFSA due to concerns over genotoxicity, however, there are conflicting opinions upon the safety of TiO as a food additive, and the number of in vivo genotoxicity studies conducted on food additive TiO was limited. In order to investigate the potential genotoxicity of food additive TiO, we evaluated the genotoxicity of a commercial food additive TiO (average size of 135.

The interaction between CD70 and CD27 can stimulate the proliferation and survival of cancer cells and increase the level of soluble CD27, which is associated with poor prognosis in patients with lymphoma and certain solid tumors. Thus, it is a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of many major CD70+ cancer indications, including CD70+ lymphoma, RCC, NSCLC, HNSCC and OC.
